After 27 pulls, I finally killed Denathrius Heroic… and let me tell you, it’s much easier to get 220+ gear from M+ than it is from raiding.
If I had something to suggest, make it so that Heroic raid drops better gear than mythic+ vault reward. Reduce the gap between normal and mythic raid ilvl. Finally, make pvp gear at best heroic ilvl, except for gladiators (mythic ilvl). Ths obviously requires gear to not have a 50 ilvl disparity between mythic dungeon week one and High mythic raid gear.
How about 184 mythic dungeon, 192 normal, 200 heroic and 208 mythic. that just sounds more reasonable to me. at this pace, we’ll be ilvl 310 by the end of this expac.

Well here is the problem the system says that the minimum ilvl for normal mode is 200, but normal rewards 200 ilvl gear…I mean what the hells blizz??
It makes no freaking sense.

Idk about making Heroic drop higher than you can ever get from M+ in the vault, but I do think they should either nix the ilvl boost from vault gear from the M+ row or add it to the Raid row. It makes no sense that you get an arbitrary full difficulty tier ilvl boost from running M+ every week while the Raid rewards are just… base raid rewards.
Right now, raiding is more relevant than it was in BfA, but even so, it’s only relevant in the short term. M+ is STILL the go-to for long-term BiS unless you’re Mythic Raiding. By far. And with less effort.

Let’s not and say we did. Heroic isn’t particularly difficult so its rewards are about right in terms of ilvl.
That being said… They should increase the drop rates from raids. It was pretty good before they nerfed it a week into the raid tier.

yes this for sure. in this day and age gear is kind of messed up anyway, new tiers in everything seem to come way quicker and once you get to were you want to be it’s it’s pretty much just start all over again.
Failing to time a +12 key isn’t particularly difficult either, but that gave me a 223 piece in my vault. My heroic raid vault gave me 213.

I’d personally be okay with untimed runs not contributing to the vault or doing so in a lesser capacity.
I doubt most people would be though. lol
But you’re forgetting one very important fact. While your item in the vault may be lower, other than that vault, mythic+ players basically cannot get any upgrades. All we have is the rng of the vault.

I can’t get any upgrades from heroic either, besides maybe a couple pieces from the last two bosses alone. It’s not like heroic raiding - with 213 gear on a lockout - is some wellspring of power outside of the weekly vault.
What they need to do is make the best gear for raiders drop from raid. The best gear for m+ drop from m+. The best gear for pvp drop from pvp.
All ilvls should be the same.
Suggesting that raiding, m+, or pvp deserves the best ilvl gear is stupid.
Is heroic raid hard? Yes. I think they should tune mythic raid to be as hard as heroic raid currently is.
That being said I don’t think heroic raid is much harder than a 12+.
I almost killed 10/10 H myself before quitting raid. I also got keystone master.
Heroic raid isn’t harder, you just rely on more people. Those people aren’t good at the game.
When I took my heroic raiding guildmates that have now killed 10/10 H to m+, they barely could do a 10+ in time.
10/10 H is over tuned, but so was m+. I haven’t played any m+ post nerfs, since I already got keystone master, but yes both pve end games are/were over tuned and are unsatisfying to play.
This is why I’m playing this priest instead of my tank. This priest is pvp only.

Even easier to get it from pvp. This is my first season pushing rating and I hit 1800 rating 3 weeks ago. Full 220 set
Another heroic raider with a self inflated sense of importance. No, the other forms of endgame don’t need to be nerfed even further so you can feel superior. Sire heroic only “feels” more difficult because you all have already campaigned to have other forms of content knee capped for your own ego. How about instead you look internally at why you simultaneously feel like you don’t need to do real raiding and also don’t want m+ or pvpers have gear enough for their own endgames. Look deep inside that shallow, wet ashtray of a soul and try to come to terms with why it bothers you so much, then go talk to a therapist about it.

Item level for heroic raids is fine. Heroic raiding has never been particularly hard. You kill raid bosses for the glory and sometimes trinkets. What other reason is it than that?
