I dont really think armor value is worth mentioning because you would be wearing leather anyways and not tanking. The chest and boots definitely do seem great though but not so much it would make all other items pre raid obsolete.

No. Flat out, absolutely not. If you want the game that features casual player handouts, you want the live game, not Classic/VanillaâŚ
You donât get your end game content at launch just because you feel entitled to it for some inexplicable reason.
Being able to off tank adds is nice. as a warrior you will be doing it on garr, domo, and the salamanders just below. not having to fiddle too much with leather is a gift and people will take it even if itâs a miniscual dps loss on a spread sheet. you will hit the cap for hit very easily without leather with the D2 set. Mask of unforgiven is extremely good, it would be nice if you didnât need to use it though. its 2 hit and if the 2 hit isnât needed its awful. most warriors play 2 handed fury early on due to the bad weapon options. the D2 set allows for a lot of gain for every class. T2 is better by a mile for pures like mage, hunter, warlock, and even though we where talking about it⌠rogue. The D2 set is more or less T1.6 is a sense. Having what you need from it for all classes will make a handful of bosses a cake walk when BWL drops.
Granted, there are people that are over the deep end about BIS ASAP OMFGBBQ. Should that affect the entire game for every player?
Why not just leave it as is, but the Silithus stuff could simply not be complete-able until that content is activated?
How is that a bad thing? How many raiders would forgo D2 altogether if it came out as late as blizzard currently has it scheduled? Wouldnât making D2 meaningful content to more people be a Good Thing? Are those players going to not do BWL because their sneakers are good already?

I was talking about pre raid items vs dunegon set two though. Dungeon set 2 vs tier 1 i would say tier 1 is actually better for most classes? Where do i find tier 1 stats pre-rework anyways. Seeing as classic will have progressive itemization you may be right but from what im looking at tier 1 is better.
Since you brought it up, iâm also interested in whether or not we will get the re-work of T1 on launch. Either way, i need to go for a hike and a run. I enjoyed the talk. D2 is more powerful than it should be for a launch set. Itâs a pain to get but people will get it if they can. I would sit down and just let it go if they where going to launch it alongside ZG or something but they arnât. The chain requires Silithus to do.
No but changing the release order of gear will change the entire game for every player. Doing it sooner to cater to some group doesnt actually make it better for the game. Which is what the devs need to focus on instead of looking to a particular group.
Spoken like someone who did not do the questline, if they ever even played during vanilla.
I wager that by and large those who boohoo about this gear like you are never completed a baron 45 run untill they were solid purple and L70 at the least.

yeah if i was only concerned with raiding i would rather wear black dragonscale set than put in the work for the dungeon set 2 set. ds2 looks like it takes more effort to get than tier gear.

If those against D2 that early put as much effort into lobbying for earlier threat management as they did arguing against D2, I might take them a bit more serious about not wanting their raids to be trivialized. MEANWHILE the D2 content will be trivialized by raid gear if held off as long as they are looking at doing, and accomplishing the set will mean a hell of a lot less.

Translation: I never did the D2 questline and have no idea how difficult it is.

Well, it will take a fair amount of time to get the tier 0 set first anyway. I get where youâre coming from as my current schedule wonât allow me to do any raiding so Iâll most likely for go for 0.5 but there really isnât any hurry. I want to have stuff to do over the next 2 years, at least. Just enjoy your first set for awhile

Your asinine argument is akin to me saying that Naxxramas should be available at launch because itâs harder than MC. The difficulty of attaining it doesnât make one damn bit of difference as to when it should be released.
Quit asking for a casual player handout and just wait for your content to come out, when itâs actually supposed to come out.
Dungeon 0.5 set was exactly, that a dungeon set for those that did not/could not raid.
Spec by spec it was worse than what was in MC/other sources (hence 0.5 tier) but effort wise was much more costly. Thats the point, it was endgame content for PVE non raiders (ubrs doesnât count).

If naxxrammas had worse gear than MC you would have a point.
But as a non raider it wouldnt be trivial to to those that are non raiders.

Do you understand it yet? Heâs asking for his final tier of content to be handed to him vastly earlier than it was designed or intended to be implemented into the game. His only justificationâs for it are akin to a baby screaming that it wants its bottle now, which he tries to obfuscate behind irrelevant facts about difficulty. You want to be casual, accept the consequences for your decisions, be grateful Blizzard caved in and let you attain anything purple at all, then sit the hell down and wait your turn for it to be put in the game, in an authentic manner /time period. The idea that providing people with potentially MONTHS of extra time to work on those in game achievements isnât some kind of disgusting handout is pure lunacy.
Finally⌠âworse gear than MCâ isnât really true either⌠Some of those pieces of gear are actually quite capable, and releasing it early would change raiding player BiS lists. Much of it is garbage, like the t0 sets, but you donât get to ignore the good pieces just because there are a number of terrible ones.
