I feel like I’m dumb, but I thought the raid story mode was opening today? Where do you go to do that? Edit: Figured it out! There’s an NPC standing next to the meeting stone that starts it off.

There is a quest line you have to complete to open up the story mode.
And then once you have completed it, as Huntnpeck said, the npc next to the raid meeting stone will queue you up for it.

Go into city of threads (the spider city) and on the very middle of the map there is a big house, get inside the big house and you will find a big spider dude who gives you 2 quests, complete them and he will send you to speak with another dude to queue for “raid” and kill the queen, you will do it with AI followers and you can even afk just make sure you get into the portal, rewards are pretty cool, rep, some gold and a crest to craft items up to 619

This is 100% not true. Did quests for this guy and nothing. No raid quest. zero.

it’s 100% true, you do need to find the lead quest possibly though (little spider near dorn hub)
well to bad for you but a lot of ppl got it, you may be missing something. prob didnt do a previous quest, thats for you to look up, dont blame me for your non progress.
What’s annoying is they don’t show up on your map.

I did story mode for the free enchanted crest after my raid killed Queen on our reclear since I picked up the quest right before raid time but couldn’t do all the steps before pull.

Yeah, I gave my full feedback here and mentioned that. I think its a great addition but clarity on how to get it started is needed.
I really hate sending people to Wowhead (because I think it’s an incredibly lazy website team that never seems to use its power to enact real change) but… Wowhead has a guide:
Yeah, I know. I figured it out eventually and did it hence the review. But the real problem is you need to go look up how to start it, and before someone even does that they need to know it even exists. Not everyone reads all the wow news and updates a lot of people just log in and play. It’s a problem for those people and I think Blizzard should work on shoring that up. I mentioned how in the full review inside that thread link in my post you was responding to.

Wowhead is primarily a guide and database website, not a platform for enacting changes in the game. Expecting it to drive major shifts in World of Warcraft development misinterprets its role.
It’s unrealistic to expect a fan resource website to influence game design or policy decisions. Developers at Blizzard make those choices, not external sites like Wowhead. Holding Wowhead accountable for this is like blaming a library for not changing the books it holds.
Calling them lazy while they provide free, reliable info for millions? Please. They aren’t there to fix your game, just to help you play it better.

Nonsense. You are mistaken. It’s a fan site. It has a responsibility to serve the game’s players. Yet it has yet to mention the ongoing bugs and issues with missing world quest resets, non-reset patron crafting orders, etc. That’s just one example. Why is THAT stuff not newsworthy, but a new for-profit mount in the cash shop is? The simple fact is, stuff that gets put on Wowhead is seen immediately by the game developers, and it should use that power to get eyeballs onto issues the entire player base is having.
you can for now. but enjoy it quickly because in a few weeks it’s slated to be classified as welfare loot for some reason or another by someone who can’t wrap their head around there is more than one way to skin a World of Warcraft.

nah the story mode will be popular. they have to continue it. hope they add more story to bosses so we can get 2-3 more in story mode
