Raid Rewards Experiments in Season 4

I’m not interested in the mount. I haven’t raided since BFA and don’t care to any time soon.

The issue here is Blizzard created an expectation with the wording of an achievement many have pointed out as being in the live game for some time before the change. Any confusion caused by that isn’t the player’s fault.

I don’t care what LFR normally should or shouldn’t have. In this instance, however, Blizzard should have said, “We didn’t intend to include LFR in these rewards, and normally don’t, but since this mistake was in-game for so long we’ll allow it here.”

That’s the right move.

It hurts no one if this one mount is available on “any” difficulty, as originally stated, this one time as a correction to an error.

Do you have to have the bow equipped during the fight for the upgrade item to drop or just in your bag?

How else are they supposed to keep players logging in? Good writing, engaging+rewarding content, and using player feedback to make the game better?

Pffft, come on, be serious.

I mostly play for pvp, that doesn’t have FOMO really, but yea a lot of uneducated, or impulsive consumers fall prey to it.

They’re still around. They’re called boosting communities. For some reason the EU is doing something about them. Of course our government doesn’t give a crap.

They know…

You realize Blizz this does you no favors in proving that you have changed or that you truly want to make things better for the silent majority that you said you wanted to stop neglecting. Such an easy win and you guys manage to screw it up.

Notice this point here, “The existence of LFR justifies the creation of more raid content for casual and hardcore players alike.”

You want to kill LFR and go back to Dragonsoul quality raids, be my guest.

Can we please get more than one Int offhand in M+? Currently the only one drops from Streets.

So where is this bow upgrade vendor promised?

Raid of 21 with 8 no bow hunters… not 1 bow drop … I am calling BS on the increased drop rate!!

My money apparently doesn’t spend the same as people in guilds. Nice one Blizz; always thinking up ways to show little you care about your casual players.

Normal is a casual difficulty.

We’ve also been told that mythic raiding and pushing keys are “casual” difficulties by those for whom they are easy. Irrelevant to the situation, which is they had to give away the current expansion and a mount, and then give a mount for logging into wrath classic and starting a character.

Participation numbers are way down and falling. They’ve never given away an expansion while it was still current before.

Handouts haven’t worked so far, so I’m not sure why more would be of any benefit.

Nobody thinks that Mythic Sepulcher was “easy” or “casual” while they were working through it.

People have a silly habit of saying things are “easy” after the hard part is over. Things like reading, and driving, are “easy”… once you know how to do it.

No? Although you can certainly progress them casually in a 2 day a week guild. Or with even less time to play in the case of keys.

That’s mostly because the “handouts” have been designed to get the higher-end players into their content significantly faster, at the expense of the progression feeling of anyone below that mark.

  • Leveling has been ruined to get people to the max level faster with little effort.
  • All character progression leading up to current content has been axed and replaced with almost immediate or easily obtained catch-up mechanics, like gear that undermines last season’s efforts.

They literally keep taking away every feeling of progression that isn’t normal raiding or higher. Season 4 dialed that back a little by making LFR ilvl worth something, but what’s the point now? Not like the world got any update.

They seriously either need to look at the first half of the game, or improve the value of max level content for everyone, not just people who run instanced group content.

Handouts are indeed killing the game. But they’re not the handouts you’re talking about. If they made leveling an involved process again (like it is on classic) or if they got rid of all of the catch-up mechanics, I guarantee that all of you folks complaining about handouts would be on these forums complaining about alt unfriendliness or some conspiracy to sell level boosts.

Also, completing every LFR boss for a single FOMO mount isn’t a “handout” that’s actual effort toward a goal.

I mean, stuff gets made more and more accessible and it’s somehow never enough. They put a bow or cat in normal then blood rains from the skies as the forums bust into flames about how it’s too inaccessible despite being normal.
