I’m not leaving, and definitely Mythic won’t.
Well I have been in raids with folks 470+ doing less damage than the tanks on multiple bosses. They don’t know mechanics or timing.
It’s not. You’re still going to be able to run M+ and get mythic quality gear in your weekly vault. So what are you whining about again?
I don’t really have anything to worry about in the long run.
No but you’re whining like a child that this M+ change is destroying how you play.
I feel like you’re antagonizing the situation, maybe you should rest.
I’m just trying to figure out why you’re so anti-raiding when these changes to M+ won’t really affect you in the long run.
Because MMO’s are cool and they are dying.
Turning them into something they’re not won’t save the genre. It will just turn it into a fad chasing game like Fortnite or PUBG.
Dungeons seem to have always been in the game.
So have raids.
Youve got to be joking. This is the back bone of this game. The backbone of almost any MMO and how they tell the large end part of the story. It’s interesting and fun and requires A large sense community and coordination to complete. It’s an MMO for a reason.
If they wanted and planned on doing away with raiding they’d make a different game not change one that’s been around for 16 years and been extremely successful. That would be a death sentence for WoW and no one would be that stupid.
Mythic+ is fantastic and I really enjoy running keys but at the end of the day this change is good. It should give you gear that is equivalent or a bit better than heroic raid gear but it should never be equal to high tier mythic raid gear. It gives incentive to do both forms of content. Not just one or the other.
It’s whether the game wants new players in that demographic or not, I don’t decide this.
I won’t deny that statement.
I am going to agree with you and give you ten points here. Raid or die is in the top ten reasons why this game takes in 12-14 million subs at the beginning and sheds most of them half way through the xpac until a little less than a million are at the end.
I do not have their hidden numbers but not too long ago someone mentioned that Blizz loses about 90% of all new players and they do not level past 10. You would think that a company would really sit back and think “Ok, what is it that is pushing all that money away?” There are probably many reasons for it and one of them is the hyper push for being a raiding game even though it is obvious that 90% of the new player base disagrees with that notion.
You want money and dev time spent on raiding fine. The money is there, you just need to retain that 90% who leave the game early on and those people want a modern MMORPG and WOW is no longer one of those. MMOM+QUE would be a better title.
So resilience?
Classic tripled the amounts of subs. Classic at launch had about 4 million subs.
You do some basic math there and you can see how many people Blizavision has been able to keep around with their current game design.
Finding 4 people in LFG for a 30 minute dungeon run is harder than organizing a 10-25 person raid group and teach them all mechanics over the course of 2-8 hours over two days for multiple weeks?
Huh, strange.
ion bought stock in zenimax and squareenix.
tanking wow and watching ff14 and eso numbers go up, he probably did a cartwheel when microsoft bought zenimax
Source? Or do you just make claims without any sort of proof, yet it’s hard to prove it since WoW Classic and Retail both share the same Sub. By you’re logic I could say all those players exist for retail.
