Got raid locked on this character (alt) for helping main raid summon to BFD??? this has to be a bug right? When I run into BFD the trash is there but says im locked and have a raid ID. Its not the same ID as the raid that cleared BFD on main. How do I fix this? Do i have to start aBFD group myself or am i screwed?
The bad news is your outa luck worse news is a gm wont be able to undue it either.

but the instance(BFD) still has trash mobs in the front so is it still fresh and would i have to create and lead the raid?
Trash mobs tend to respawn after like 30 or so minutes. Trash mobs being there doesn’t extaclly means it’s a fresh raid.

When you clear BFD the trash is gone.
My apologies. I am not familiar with a raid called BFD - which raid is the lock on now?
In Retail, at least, trash mobs before a particular boss don’t respawn after the boss is downed, so if an instance is fairly linear, trash in front of the first boss means the instance is still pristine.
Don’t play Classic, so don’t know if that hold there, although it was true when WotLK was the Retail game.

wheres a GM when you need them?
Its BFD for SoD. My warlock helped summon then left raid before it started. We cleared the raid on my main. When i logged back into warlock later it shows me raid locked. The raid ID is not the same on my character that cleared the Raid not sure if that matters or what raid id exactly details.
There are not any GMs available via the Forums. Furthermore, as mentioned earlier - GMs cannot reset raid IDs.

Not here. There are no GMs in the forums and the forums are not an alternative to submitting a ticket (which will be addressed by a GM).
Even the Blizzard employees (blue text posters) here are not GMs. They are Support Forum Agents, primarily moderators but also able to do minor research assistance.
BTW, “BFD” is Black Fathom Deep, which is not a raid. It’s a 5-person dungeon instance. I’m not sure how lockouts work for dungeons instead of raids, or in SoD in general.

That is because GMs do not reset raid IDs.
Please report the issue as a bug so that Blizzard can be aware of it.

Im starting to regret even coming back to this game…
Also got silenced for a week because I talked crap to a troll/griefer killing a mob and stopping progression for other players… they did nothing to him and i get silcenced.
Just looked it up and it appears to have been converted to a raid for leveling up in SoD.

Well, “Discovery” indeed.
That makes everything said before absolutely applicable. GMs do not intervene in any matter regarding raid IDs. Which is why the ticket system prevented creating a ticket: if the answer is always “no”, there’s no point allowing everyone’s time to be wasted on a guaranteed “no, I don’t think we will” response.

FWIW, a quick google tells me that raid ID and lockout issues are a common complaint in SoD, so a bug report is a very good idea.
It probably won’t help this week, however. The developers would have to decide that the egregiousness of the bug justifies allowing the GMs to intervene, perhaps write and deploy the appropriate GM tools, and develop and communicate the policy and procedure changes to GMs. From how this was described, it all seems very bureaucratic, and it still hinges on the developers deciding to do it instead of simply allowing the situation to continue until they can get a fix into the system.

Nothing to submit a ticket for! Nothing can be done to fix this, No one can reset raid ID’s
