So… I did a VOA and the raid lead left without switching raidlead/lootmaster… I waited and tried to get him to come back and hand out loot… Eventually everyone left and im stuck sitting there looking at my t7 chest that i can’t loot… I doubt blizz will do anything about it, but i thought i would try.
Also, 19days is pretty insane for a ticket que…
It is indeed, but unfortunately, there has been a lot of things ballooning up the queue. Normally it would be a day or so, but no one - neither staff nor players - are pleased with how bad it is right now. But even then, it’s more along the lines of 6-10ish days. 19 is an estimate based on the oldest ticket in the queue, and while things are bad, they’re not quite that bad as yet.
And I see Vrak typing, so I’ll let him have at it.
Yes, we agree. Our staff is working through the queue as quickly as they can.
I’m afraid you may be correct, Bukiiz, a Game Master likely would not be able to assist in this matter.
My only issue is that of time spent and doing these things to obtain better item level pieces… I have a screenshot of all the raid being gone and im just hanging out with the loot table open and all the pieces still there. I feel like for legit tickets like this the issue should be resolved. I am never one to complain about blizzard, but i’ve played this game for over 10 years and when something like this happens and nothing is done it takes away a lot of things.
I am aware to a multibillion dollar company this does not matter all that much, but for those of us on the other end it can be.
Screenshots can be altered, they have never accepted them as evidence. They work with their logs. Unfortunately when you run with someone as master looter, essentially all the gear is theirs until they pass it out. It’s sadly why it is often drilled in to know who you’re running with. If the master looter didn’t pull the loot from the boss, it will despawn after so long and the loot is just lost.
That’s how the Devs had it back in the day and how it’s continued to be now through the Classic iterations. The SFAs like Vrak do not make that call, and no other staff but them come here to this particular forum.
The evidence is immaterial, Bukiiz. As outlined by the article I linked, for Wrath of the Lich King, we are unable to intervene in loot distribution. Sorry.
Understand, you have full agency over which groups you join and who you put your trust in leading. If you are uncertain of the person leading the group, it is best to select a different looting option, or a different group. I am sorry you encountered a group leader that seem to have thought only of themselves.
Gms have awarded gear that was not looted out before.
In cases where the ML goes offline or leaves.
So you’re saying the Support forum agent is wrong?
Policy changes over time, even in classic. But I believe when they did this, it was the master looter who ultimately put the ticket in, and op did appear to attempt to contact the other person.
ummmmmmmmm, no.
Maybe he meant in the far past, not Classic WOTLK but Vanilla Wrath. Policies were different back then, so has no bearing on the current stance as Kozzae said.
It’s been more than a decade so my memory is pretty fuzzy, but I feel like it was a case where the master looter gave the item to the wrong person and both the master looter and the person who received the item had to put tickets in to get the item given to the correct person. I don’t think I have ever heard of a case throughout the entirety of WoW’s existence where the GMs divvied out loot to someone from a body.
I am not saying that never happened, Auril. I’m not aware of any in particular, but it doesn’t feel out of scope for the original Wrath of the Lich King release.
However, the policies for Wrath of the Lich King Classic make that scenario unlikely as we specifically do not assist with those situations.
Less so from the Master Looter, but whomever received the item would have to put in the ticket. That was pretty standard back then.
Considering it was done during wotlk, yes
While they may have done it during the original release of WotLK, the newer policies does not allow them to do so in WotLKC. They have to follow policy or lose their job, so no, they will not violate policy and assist with loot distribution if the master looter leaves.
