since there is raid finder in wotlk classic and retail, it only makes sense to bring raid finder to Season of discovery as well.
also if u dont want to use raid finder, you wouldn’t have to… u could still just join a guild and raid that way.
i dont see the problem with giving people more options to enjoy the raid.

the fact that someone else uses raid finder does not detract from your experience of the raid with a guild, correct?
I mean at this point LFG is raid finder. Takes like 5 to 10 minutes to get a group as anything. 9 manned the whole raid the other day when someone bailed right before first boss.
so if you have LFG and can make groups that way, why would it matter to you if people use raid finder.
you can still enjoy the raid without using raid finder same as how other people can simultaneously enjoy the raid with raid finder.
i think it would be good to give people more options, that is always the better path.
It does not matter to me. I like raid finder. Wish summoning stones worked too.

i thoroughly agree with that, with that logic, people should get to use raid finder if they find it to be fun.

I’m split, on one hand it would be convenient. On the other, you’re completely at the mercy of whatever raid composition pops. In the starting raid, imagine it filling with no kicks. As long as I can get into raids where the composition has been somewhat filtered, I think I prefere manual pugs.
LFR would never get passed Kelris, and ideally every boss should be on that level of difficulty.
LFR allowed me to kill deathwing on my rat pvp deathknight back in the day without knowing mechanics or talking to anyone and even getting lost in the dungeon and missing a boss fight didn’t dampen the progress. 10/10 content.

So uh, did you not actually listen to their reasoning for banning GDKPs in the video?
They deliberately stated the secondary reason they’re banning GDKPs aside from to hopefully deflate the illegal gold buying market, is because they want to emphasize guild and community play in SoD.
They don’t want to allow the casual player to raid without joining a guild. They don’t want to cater to the solo experience in SoD.
And good tbh. If you want to be able to do everything WoW has to offer without joining a guild or ever talking to a single other person, just go play Retail. SoD is a social experience to it’s core, just like Classic itself originally was.
If you can’t be bothered to be part of the community, then this is not the game for you.
