What expansion in your opinion do you think had the perfect amount of difficulty?
MoP or WoD.
Genuinely some of the most difficult bosses in the game, with stuff like pre-nerf Heroic* Blackfuse or Lei Shen, but the difficulty curve actually made sense and you didn’t have Normal bosses that were more difficult than half the raid on Heroic.
*Normal back then being equivalent to Heroic and Heroic being Mythic.
Wrath
Raids should be fun not have 20-minute encounters with 13 phases and require 12 addons.
Undying/Immortal, Firefighter, zero lights, Totgc, immortal totgc, Light of dawn
Those are challenge title.
If you are saying those titles were required to complete the raids, you are misinformed.

LFR and Normal exist in modern WoW for people who don’t want to learn the full encounter. Remember, Mythic is the real fight then it has bits pruned off for accessibility purposes, just like the hard modes of Wrath.
Ulduar was the best. They never did anything like that again.

Not like Mythic is right now. Mythic is a terrible mode and I would argue has been one of the biggest factors in basically killing the raid scene.
Like I said 13 phases, 20 addons, 20 minutes and NOT FUN.
Mythic raiding came into existence because for some reason the devs think the top 1 percent of players are more important than the other 99 percent.
How has that worked?

And you think 99percent are clearing Mythic? And entire difficulty of raiding… Not just a challenge mode.

And nowhere near 10 percent of players are clearing mythic when it is current content.
I have huge problems with such vast of dev time going to a tier of raiding that very few participate in.
I will refer you to the decline in players over the last few xpacs.
Mythic is not a fun mode of raiding and anyone that says it is… well they are not very honest.

People were fine not being able to fully clear content in wrath. The current situation is no different, people have just gotten a little more entitled in recent years.
Thankfully the devs have a bunch of difficulties to accommodate all skill levels.
More difficulties means the content is not as good. People are not more entitled people do not want… 13 phases, 20 addons and 25 minute encounters.
I would much rather pug in wrath when it was current then even think about pugging anything in current content because… wait for it… IT IS NOT FUN
Mythic right now is 25H Lich King back then.
Same difficulty, why was it good then and why is it bad now ?
It’s important that most people have access.
These aren’t really a thing, though, depending on how you’re looking at it. Were the various stages of the Lich King encounter not actually phases? Mimiron? Yogg?
