Are not part of classic spirit, it is way more social to have to wait 3 to 5 minutes before a pull sometimes, as this gives us chances to socialize with each other and take bathroom breaks, goof off etc.
Having chain pulling on bosses is a RETAIL feature…
I think it’s a weird change to address instead of all of the other hot topic things or actual QOL improvements that could be made… since we still have to fly back and run back to most boss rooms (with some decent teleportations I suppose) saving people a minute here and there versus working on a number of other things the community talks about…shrug
Because it’s just like the argument for RDF not being included, if it’s added, everybody will use it! Forcing people who want to take the downtime that was orginally there to be rushed and crushing the social feel of the game. The bond over wiping and the stories told while waiting on bloodlust or hero to come off cooldown. What a MASSIVE blow to the community aspect of the game!
I feel like people looking for community will be in guilds who don’t push push push the second your cds are up though no? Beneficial to the hardcore and no real change for the casual raider either
Not at all! If it’s added much like the argument with RDF, then people will be forced to use it or they will fall behind!
Some people on the pro RDF side of the fence say the sme thing. If you don’t want to use RDF dont use it, it’s not forcing you to form groups like that, it’s a QoL improvement to help players on lower populated servers or with limited time to play.
The anti RDF side says; No! It can’t be added because if it’s added it forces us to use it, because nobody in their right mind would form groups the old way, thus ruining the community in the process.
This, much like RDF is the same thing. It forces the people who want that social aspect of the game to simply miss out on it. Nobody in their right mind is going to set a 7 min timer before a boss pull when they could easily just buff up and try again!
The QoL improvement is so massive, it would be dumb not to use it. Extra badges, extra damage/healing/health, insta teleport, running heroics you are already locked to. Who wouldn’t use RDF, even with a party of 5 people to queue up with?
My guildies are happy about the change. I shared the info right away.
We’re very social as a guild, this has nothing to do with it lol, and I know what the people in this thread are doing and will probably do 100 times more (again) but yeah we wait for the cooldowns all the time.
I’m shocked you take this stance! You in previous threads against RFD say that RFD kills the social aspect of the game and leads to the downfall of WoW. This is doing the same thing! It’s eleminating 7 to 10 minuts of time that guilds can grow their bonds together waiting on things to come off cooldown!
But how can you be a “social guild” if you’re simply killing raid bosses and not being social after a wipe?! Your support of this is killing the wow community!
Everyone mutes disc and returns. Hardly is there ever any socializing going on.
Or if youre on the 100th attempt of a boss, people are so annoyed they leave their PC.
Its better to just chain pull over and over again… thats how you learn a boss. Nothing drives me crazier than guilds who stand at a boss for 45 minutes explaining its 3 mechanics. Just pull and learn. go go go
According to you in your anti RDF posts, you use that time to be social, and build the wow community! The ability to skip all of that detracts from the community aspect of the game that the “again according to you”, majority of the people want to keep in the game.
Again, I’m shocked you take this stance, knowing how important community and the social aspect of the game is to you. Getting stuff done efficiently is not what we are going for in this realease of Wrath remember!
Yeah! Kind of like how if people don’t want to stand around looking for /4 LF1M Tank UK-H. And they just want to queue for it and be able to get other stuff done while waiting in line. They need to go to a mental hospital too!
