We did it with 6 melee? Feral, 2 warr, ret, rogue enhance. Also one Vashj kill is 10/10 no? I said that in a post right below. and also said “we have like 6 or 7 melee in raids” Is that lying?
We had 7 melee the pulls before on Vashj and I was the 7th, went resto for the 6th heal. The melee slot was not a factor imo.
While these nerfs would be well received, I’m not sure if its the right call. There are a lot of people quitting not because the content is hard, but because they can’t find a good guild to progress with. I’m a guild leader on a medium pop server which has probably the last healthy alliance/horde ratio, yet trying to recruit for vashj/KT is difficult. Most people have commitments, every raid we usually have 1-2 people from a core having to miss. We end up having to pug and it’s pretty frustrating. Merging with another guild has been unsuccessful as most guilds aren’t interested, or have a different loot system, or have too many people they want to keep compared with us. It’s a really hard situation, but I think server merges would be the best call before nerfing during the phase. Pretty soon our guild might disband because we have our high performers wanting to leave to join a 10/10 guild and we can’t even replace the people parsing in greens/greys , so those kinds of hits will be detrimental to us.
So, all in all, I wouldn’t mind a nerf, but I know it would make a lot of people angry. Why not make hard mode/normal mode, where hard is pre-nerf mechanics and the boss will drop 1 extra piece of loot? Seems like a hard change to implement, but I think it’s a win/win for both casuals/hardcore pver’s, and it gives incentive to progress on the more challenging end game boss fight. Those are 2 solutions I thought of that seems pretty decent, I hope Blizzard reads this and considers the options. I think a hard/normal mode would be the best call.
I almost never post on the forums but I have to add my 2 cents. Speaking solely for myself here though I’m sure some others feel the same way…
If the early nerf goes through I will be very disappointed. More than anything else I enjoy the difficulty, the learning, the progression with the same group every week, and finally the satisfaction of getting the kill. Experiencing kt/lady vashj this way is pretty much the only thing in TBCC that interests me at this point, since I didn’t get that far in original TBC.
If Blizz actually tried regular communication, like they used to, people might not go apesh*t when they just drop something like this out of the blue. What are “community managers” on the forums even getting paid for if they never say anything?
KT is all the way nerfed while Vashj only has a change to Persuasion so it works in a way it never did in TBC so… no?
Kind of, really dependent on if your raid team is stacked with AoE or not. The biggest issue I’ve noticed with the health of Tidewalker’s Murlocs is that if the Paladin tank(s) get Graved, it messes the entire thing up. So if their health pool gets nerfed, then that wouldn’t be a massive issue since the Murlocs would just be dying from the AoE before Graves would happen. Granted, this is also the problem my guild is facing cause we only have uhhhh, an Ele Shaman, two or three Warlocks and me as the Mage for reliable AoE in our raids? I think? So our AoE is lacking since we’re melee heavy for some unknown reason.
It’s not a blanket “hey, this is a big problem.” like Vashj’s MC is due to the RNG part of her MC during P3.
I don’t think this will be true. M’uru and Kil’Jaeden will be harder. Those bosses were tuned around the talents that exist now and the gear check will be tighter. I wiped well over 50 if not over 100 times to both of these back in teh day. I think my guild wiped 10-12 times in this version of Vashj. Yeah players are better now and have better computers, but I’m not sold yet that M’uru and KJ will be easier.
The problem is that unnerfed Vashj shouldn’t come close to the difficulty of the last two bosses in the final raid of the expansion. Imagine if Nefarion was as powerful as Sapphiron and Kel Thuzad? These nerfs need to go out sooner rather than later in order to save what few casual guilds are still doing their best to survive.
Yeah but as we saw the moment they made the post, all the tryhards/sweaty people came out of the woodworks complaining about it despite already having 10/10 so Blizzard wouldn’t nerf it. Like, I still don’t know why Blizzard posts here on their own forums if they’re just gonna let themselves get bullied into not doing needed nerfs.
As someone who has already cleared this tier I do not really see a reason to pull out of doing these nerfs. This is old content, this is an old game, people want to relive some memories or see them for the first time. The other guild that raid with has not been so successful and has been stuck on the 8/10 train for a little bit. Honestly I don’t want to speak for everyone that I raid with, but I like to think the Majority of both guilds didn’t feel the game was tarnished because you wanted to make the game more accessible. My 8/10 Struggles to hold members, because people are not having fun when they aren’t making reasonable progress. I like everyone on that raid team and It would be sad to see them fall apart because of this.
This is classic TBC not retail TBC, people want loot and to experience boss fights on a more casual basis. I just feel like this redaction is just going to add to the burnout of players and of guilds. People want to get attuned to t6 before t6 is out. I want my other raid to get attuned before t6 is out. Sad that a small vocal minority decided to sway blizzard in the direction that they did.
People that already cleared this content: congratulations! your raid clears are faster!
People that haven’t cleared this content: congratulations! you have a better chance at doing so and not burning out your raiders!
Instead its all ruined and thrown in the trash, nice job
Also to those saying " I jUsT wAnT tO gEt A LeGiT kIlL" THIS CONTENT CAME OUT 15 YEARS AGO YOU WILL NEVER GET A LEGIT KILL
