It would be nice maybe for the 1-2 day raiding guilds if Blizzard would put in the “extend raid lockout” feature because not everyone has 2+ hours a raid night. These guilds could focus on killing the end game bosses of the tier rather than wasting 1-2 hours on bosses maybe no one needs loot from. Just a thought
My guild has cleared it. But if I were in an 8/10 guild still trying to get over the hump, I would be PISSED if they nerfed it before Phase 3. It’s basically pulling the rug out from under those guilds early and saying… bwhahaha, time’s up, you failed, move over to the loser’s bracket, you loser guild!
Please don’t nerf raids until the end of phases, I understand you want the more casual players to full clear but it ruins the raiding experience for the competitive player base. We signed up for this, we wanted pre-nerf bosses.
Nerfing these raids is important to keep a healthy playerbase. Those competitive players have already cleared it.
Tons of guilds are stuck at 8/10 and are slowly dissolving causing people to quit. Challenge is fun and all but there’s a point where it’s not a challenge and it just becomes an exercise on RNG and frustration. Especially true when it comes to vash
Or you’re pissed you have to beat your head against the wall for 4-6 more months while watching the people you played with stop logging on or leaving to other guilds.
Atiesh is losing 2-3 guilds a week. Many people are straight up quitting. A major reason for this is that almost all the guilds are stuck at 6/10-8/10. This slowly wears guilds down with competition for recruiting. It quickly snowballs out of control to the point that the game is legit dying. My guild would have been 10/10 weeks ago if we were not perpetually stuck with 22-23 people every week. We gain 2-3 and lose 2-3 to FFXIV or New World. We have to gear the new people after losing the gear on the people that quit. This guild doesn’t suck. We are top 10-15 on most kill times since p1. Our DPS should be just fine, our mechanics handling is good but with the constant set backs we just can’t seem to get over that little hump of moving from p3-p4 on KT or p2-p3 on Vashj cleanly. With the environment being what it is I feel these nerfs are vital to get the server over the hump of T5 content. The guilds that are clearing have 2, 3, 4+ raid groups and they have been canabilizing them to fill raids for their “main progression team”. Most guilds do not have that option.
All of you saying they have to throw out these changes because player drop offs… lol raiders are the same number since start of T4. Nothing dropped off in terms of raiders. Only your servers having guilds transferrign to other servers, that’s all what is happening.
As a pvper I don’t care about raid difficulty at all. All the pve derps bragging about the kills are LOL. Get glad or R1, it’s a lot more challenging. Give me the nerfs for more gear for arena TY.
whenever people are saying “Mass amount of players are leaving because of x!” they’re usually lying, knowing what other guilds are doing in large quantity is not so easily perceivable they’re only saying it to spin their narrative about why x is so bad
Save the nerfs for P3, fix the dead servers.
nah man, I just want loot.
Atiesh has been a destination for many of those people. The number of raiders available is still declining because those transfers bring groups of 10-15 that then need to pick up 10-15. Ironforge.pro shows a steep decline since p1 peak with a decent bump at p2 but still far below that peak with a loss of logged characters down 85k or a decline of almost 20%. In a guild of 30 people raiding that is a loss of 6 which is consistent to what I have seen.
In the day of discord GM’s of guilds communicate quite freely. These things aren’t being made up out of thin air, we are all seeing the same thing, hearing the same excuses from those quitting, and experiencing the same issues after a night wiping to challenging content. This is compounded when you spend a night wiping to RNG and can’t fill the next week because 2 or 3 people in key positions decided they would rather go play something else than struggle with old content.

I don’t agree with this black and white characterization of the player base; that you’re either a “competitive player” and you’ve downed 10/10 or you’re a causal that is forever hard stuck at 8/10.
I got a KT kill in a consistant pug 2 weeks ago and I’m working on getting my Vashj kill in a pug this week. For me it would be really cool to get the hardest version of the boss down–especially when there is the expectation that that would be the version of the boss we’d have all phase.
This ties into the second point: There is already a catch up mechanism for those are not going to go 10/10. There will be a scheduled nerf in p3.
but we want gear for arena now
why not slow traps + blizzard when ur pally gets graved? have your offtanks AOE taunt?
if your melee stacked you can have melees help out and cleave too. We run 3 locks and a mage too and its more than enough.
I’m sorry I dont buy it. You are just trying to justify your out of control tantrum and sound ridiculous while doing so.
while you’re at it, nerf heroics too. maybe people will actually start doing them
i just wanna touch on the flame quills thing. it can and will hit you on the ground if you are too close to the wall! It can and will hit you if you jump as well, because jumping snapshots your position, simply walk off the ledge, less fall damage that way too.
Please don’t listen to the minority tryhard players on the forums. The majority of the casual player base wants / needs these nerfs. Guilds are falling apart and players are dropping.
