Racial housing Style, the new Heritage Armor

It took seven years so that everyone could get a heritage armor sweeps the drathyr under the rug now we all get to play the game of waiting for our favorite race to get a housing style.

So I wonder who will get last part this time? The Pandarens again?

Dracthyr are brand new and have more customization options than any other race. I don’t think it’s fair or even reasonable to say that Blizzard is sweeping them under the rug in any capacity.

We might get different housing exteriors as we go forward, and we might not… but maybe let the feature come out in full before complaining about what’s not there? Hmm?

I’m not complaining, I am talking about the reality of it. We know new housing styles will be added to WoW, that is a fact. But like the Heritage armor I suspect it will be almost half a decade(more?) before every race get their own racial home.

Hey, we’ll see what happens. I’m going to enjoy it whether I can make the house look like an earthen cottage or not.

Blizzard creating 1000s of minor customization options while only giving us 1 neighborhood and 2 houses per faction is peak Blizzard.

How about focus on the big picture customization options first then work on all the little things?

Could not have said it better myself.

Worded very well again. For many people (like myself) the outside of the house is just as important as the inside. I can see neighborhoods being laborious, but the houses themselves are so static that I just can’t imagine it would take much time to have a few more options.

This is such an unbelievably bad take that I have to assume you’re trolling.

Pretty sure the main point of housing is the house, and not being able to customize the house or where it is located is a pretty massive failing.

I think they are evaluating how popular housing might end up being before they commit more resources to develop it further.

Oh they know its going to be a hit and also know people will likely pay beaucoup bucks for the latest furniture looking at you Sims

It would be nice if they gave a roadmap specifically for Housing after the early access begins, or maybe around the time of Midnight launch, just to see what the plans could be post launch.

I don’t really want anyone waiting a decade for their race’s architecture to be usable for the exterior of their houses. Also think it’s a bit ridiculous that we’re locked to two zones still, I was hoping I could just put it anywhere.

I don’t think that will ever happen, but 1 zone per faction is absolutely absurd.

I can think of at least 50 other zones that most of us would have wanted way more, they all could have been neutral neighborhoods too.

At least the Alliance gets a spooky forest, if I want my Forsaken in a proper environment, too bad, it’s crappy Durotar for him.

The Horde neighborhood is very unimpressive. I think only some of the beach front locations and parts of the Azshara foresty area are good but obviously not if you’re a Forsaken.

I hope they add more zones, there is no way they haven’t planned for it right? Given the scope of the game, how many iconic locations exist… they’d be so foolish to only have planned for these two and nothing more, or to make us wait a year or longer for a new zone.

I’m going with it will be at least a year before we get new neighborhoods.

Probably right. That was one of my greatest fears in all of this since they revealed that they would be adding Housing. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to make us wait that long for new locations. It’s great they’re going to start off decently strong with a good amount of options, but they really should have planned for more.

I assume it’ll be blood/night elf zones next, since they added house styles for them at least.

But yeah, I think it’ll be years before we get more and I doubt we’ll ever get very many because Blizzard insists on making it social.

Yeah cause they went with the more “liveley” version of the neighborhoods. It’s nice but it’s gonna be a long time until everyone gets what they want.

Putting them where they did feels like a mistake too. The Alliance one being purely human zones sucks. The Horde one could have incorporated tauren and troll areas easily though.

A hypothetical blood elf one could include forsaken areas and night elf one include draenei areas. Will they do that though? Probably not given the pure orc and pure human zones we got first.
