Looking @ arenamate, 3v3 players above 2400 the racial breakdown is:
35.9% Orc
18% Human
12% Night Elf
11.5% Undead
7.9% Tauren
6.6% Belf
After belf it falls off to single digits, with my people the pandaren being dead last at 0.4% representation.
Its pretty troll that Orc is allowed to be this dominant, still. Blizzard, take a look at this for dragonflight. Racials dont present anything resembling an interesting choice.
While this isn’t a terrible idea, I’d rather racials removed from (instanced) PvP altogether.
Avoids min-max of classes / specs to particular races. Even though there may be more distribution of races, it’s stupid if 80% of Rogues still want Night Elf for extra stealth, and 80% of DKs and Shaman want to be Dwarf for another defensive, for example.
Yeah if they removed them from PVP then it really wouldn’t matter as much. I would like to keep them for nostalgia and monster killing but if it didn’t give an advantage in PVP we would see a lot more diversity.
made the change in BFA for that sweet sweet haste, but not letting blizz get any more of my money to switch back, unless orc racial is still dumb in dragonflight. Then we probably gotta go orc
I rocked Panda Priest in Season 2. Something about having the Versatility food buff in Arenas and other instanced PvP… along with an Incap CC made me feel awezum. 2 min CD unforch.
Panda’s are great. I used to hate on them when they were released, but after playing one, I learned they were actually pretty good.
The result is that Dracthyr have a drastic efficiency advantage over characters of other races when doing non-Dragon Isles content, whether that’s Chromie Time quests, clearing old raids for transmog, pet battling, etc.
So its all hands on deck to nerf racials impacting transmog and pet battles, but the orcs are allowed to dominate pvp until hardiness gets yeeted out of this game. Nice example of priorities.
