Just have corrupted Paladins. Those have been in lore forever. It’d just be a different type.

I watched the MrGM interview where they revealed opening up class/race combos and didn’t say them say where it made sense lorewise. They said that they are interested in moving towards a world where the race of a character doesn’t restrict what classes you can play.

I mean there are many forms of corruption. It doesn’t have to be from one source.

As someone who has been playing since Vanilla, I know how ALLIANCE bias works. We’re in a void elf thread, a thread dedicated to players who literally complained until they got more cosmetic options added in game, while we’re STILL waiting for Nightborne to get any kind of attention years and years later.
Or how about the starting zones from vanilla times
Or how about the garrisons being different quality
Or how Horde leaders get killed off so that Alliance players have something to do

It depends on what they do with that corruption, I think. If they use it on the side of good, like how the light is used, then it probably won’t be a problem. And I think there is plenty of room for nuance since they have been leaning towards the light not being that good…
But would a Void Elf Paladin be able to wield it?
It’s something we’ll have to see on. But they also added customizations to races they were strict on not adding in the past.
I don’t have a problem with them removing restrictions because they’ve said the player character as it appears and is named is not in lore.
