Race change and faction change coming to Barbershop!

I can’t imagine there are actually many people paying for these when it’s this easy to level. They’d probably unironically make more money if it were a very pricy gold option.

Everyone will understand if you spell it Xitter.

I know you did for Quiver.

Maybe I’m head in the sand on this, but I really don’t think someone could convince me without a Blizzard employee rubbing my nose in it. It doesn’t make sense to me, at the price point it’s at.

It’d be a lot easier to convince people to do it at a high gold cost than 25 dollars. Even if it were roughly equivalent in tokens’ worth, but I don’t think that’s even necessary.

It’s a benefit to people who interact with the market more, as well, which inherently drives token sales to begin with.

I wait until there are sales. I’ll NEVER pay full price for it lol.
I got the pack last time and race changed a few toons.

Question is, if they make it done via barbershop. What happens to my leftover race changes :joy:

But I agree. As easy as leveling is. Unless it’s an og toon with sentimental value, it’s better to just relevel and hit max in a few hours.

Unfortunately I doubt they’d ever actually do it.

It will just make me angry when another 2-5m gold sink mount drops.

Right?
Queue barbershop mount lol.

I’m just waiting for a customizable vendor mount at this point.

That would be pretty damn cool. Or a toy or something to do it outside of the specific locations.

I don’t think they’re going to add that to the barbershop. They make a lot of money with this service. I, myself, use this tool every month—I just can’t stick to one race for too long.

Blizzard can you clarify this? You created a problem yesterday when you released the Barber Shop video on both Twitter and Facebook. You know the community takes these things literally when you put it out there. So do you have a Barber Shop announcement or nah?

Like I and others have pointed out, if they make the service expensive, then they’ll still make money through tokens.

I mean, it is obviously a joke but somehow people didn’t realize that? Media literacy is truly dead.

Catastrophizing much? Folks were just optimistic about a game they love and a feature they’ve wanted for a long time

No, it truly shouldn’t have to come to this to say to was a joke. Hopeful or not but it starts becoming delusional when they think they’re going to make a system to change races and factions not cost real life money.

Looks like a meme, not an actual announcement. Keep the misinformation to a minimum please.

There is no way in hell blizzard would voluntarily sacrifice 10% of the game’s overall revenue like this.

They’re still doing shady stuff like keeping ne and dwarf racials stupidly overpowered to sell race and faction changes. After that dwindles, they’ll change which race and faction are overpowered and start the process anew.

If they set up barbershop race changes to cost a gold equivalent, they’re still making their money through tokens. It just gives players flexibility.

Not saying there wouldn’t be any difference, but they wouldn’t be giving up that profit completely if they do it that way.

They tried to getcha lmao

jk.

Mate, you think they’re going to take away the real money $25 for faction change? They are triple dipping with the tokens, the faction and race change charges. Why would they ever let you do it just for gold in the game? To buy more tokens? They don’t need to, race change and faction change already are a money tree.

People used to have to pay real money for an appearance change, and now it’s done in-game for gold.

I think the reason they did this was that it is was cheaper to develop a system so players could do this themselves in the future without any employees needed. I suppose it could be possible that they have calculated savings on employee salaries on a maintenance basis for race changes could be greater than the amount of money they make through these transactions.
