I will admit that the installation for FFXIV is definitely not very user-friendly. Also, the customer service is really bad. I got locked out of my original account from 1.0 (which had legacy status and a few items) and they were unable to retrieve it for me. Like, how can you not find one of your own players accounts? Therefore, I had to start a new one. To this day there is a number after my Username because I am unable to use my original Username. Other than that, the game is really good and I would recommend you try it again once you’re not locked out.
To download the game (it’s not super apparent) I had to type something like, “download ffxiv,” into google but once you get set up it works great. I also had to run the launcher as administrator the first time to get it to work.

Yea. At first it really bothered me because every time I logged in I would see my username and it would be like a constant reminder of the bad customer service from SE but after a while I just got used to it. To be fair, the only big thing I lost was my goobbue mount (and they have a updated one which is basically the same as the original).

Y’all must really struggle with a lot of things, I had no trouble setting up my accounts, and my one time password authenticator thing lol. You can download an app for it on your phone, and the app IS free.

same reason why i quit the game lol i some hoe managed to sub then trying to figure out how to cancel that was a nightmare allso haveing basic acount functions in totally different login accounts is fun lol

I dunno, I have never had any issues. At all.
I play the game. I’ve dealt with all of their account systems and methods of purchase. Never had an issue.

I didn’t have any issues installing it. I installed it a month or 2 ago and wanted to give it a try but I forgot my username I had registered. The launcher gives an option to recover password or username, but when I put in my e-mail address, it thinks I want to change my password and allows this without my username (usually this means it’s the same as my e-mail address.) Anyways, it took me 45 minutes to figure out which website to go to in order to find out my username.
