i always see people quitting and saying: i’ve been playing ff and it’s better…but i haven’t seen people saying: i’m quitting cause of runescape or any other game -.-

Probably because FFXIV does what WoW does but with a billion other additional features. (Don’t tell me HEROIC CN is harder than the savage delubrium reginae new content lol).
Like imagine having housing in WoW.
Or a crafting system that isn’t trivialized.
Or more “transmog” options than WoW by FARRRRR. HUGELY more options.

I mean FF14 gives you sub cost options, and the mounts tend to be a lil on the cheaper side, sans ones that allow you to have other players fly with you.
It’s a lil absurd about the mount bit, but the sub bit is nice.

Oh yeah that’s intensely ironic.
So many mounts and transmogs in the store.
But on the flip side at least there are many different options. I could never imagine seeing a worgen or zandalari troll in a collegiate attire lmao.

Honestly, it is better. 100%. They are not advertising it, it just factually is better then WoW due to a director that LISTENS to the playerbase. They mention that game because its the best MMORPG right now, alongside ESO. WoW’s devs are ignoring us so severely that it’s fallen from heaven.

Don’t forget they make changes to our classes and combat playstyle based on MDI results… example AOE cap change. There was no need for it.

I think I’ve seen ESO, EVE, one guy said Swtor lol, and there have been other non-mmo games as well. I usually just think “that’s nice” and ask for gold

There is no school on Azeroth other then the fishy ones.
I liked it, although when I tried it (few years back) it was pretty slow and at times confusing. If they had more horror themes in it, it’d be cool. Being a cat person, lion person, or a rabbit person isn’t much of a draw for me.
Music and graphics are great though, and the way they actually listen to their players sets the bar way above where blizzard is.
If it had pvp (they might now, didn’t when I tried it), and more options for grittier characters, I’d almost certainly switch.
Although, I’d love a sci-fi MMO, or something different than swords and sorcery.
