Single target just isn’t UHDK’s thing this time around. Even the minion-focused raid build falls short of Frost.

I want you DKs to spend one day in a spriest shoes and tell me yall have ever had “nothing” DK has been top end viable WAY more often than spriest ever has and just when we get something kind of good they rework our entire class and ruin it all over again.
You get reworks? Damn, wish they would throw a shred of rework attention our way.

Dks have been screaming for some kind of rework, frost in particular. Meanwhile SP has been done over again and again. The developer bias is horrifically painful to watch. Even if it doesn’t work out all the time at least it shows they are trying and care to some degree. So no, not joking.
Getting constantly reworked isnt a good thing.

Frost doesnt need a rework, DK doesnt need a rework. Tuning? Probably. A redesign? Absolutely not.

Just say you dont like DK. spriest got a rework because it wasnt working again and again and again. dk works PERFECTLY fine and has a more than sufficient kit and has had more than enough moments in the sun both in pvp and pve.
i have two spriests, granted i haven’t played them in an a bit, but i have played shadow before, Aug was also great fun until blizzard nerfed them into the ground for disrupting the trinity model.
i’m fully convinced there is two teams at blizz, one makes content, new talents, and class overhauls, the other does balance and day to day operations management of the game. the content creation team comes up with all the cool stuff while the operations management team is the one with all the personal axes to grind against classes and players. they are the ones who nerf DK into the gutter every time the content creation team sends a buff our way.

Spriest hasnt had a stable well performing system since WoD and they took that from us when EVERYONE loved it. DK complaining about buff/nerf cycles is not the same literally everyone gets buffs and nerfs even spriests we just also dont have a functioning spec behind them
oh no, you have no idea what DK buff and nerf cycles have been like. they are down right abusive. its not just “oh man, i miss when the gameplay was like X” because we have that too with necrotic plague and necrotic strike. the reality of playing DK is that people don’t like seeing us perform, not just perform better than them. so any time DK is performing well we will get hit with nerfs. but wait there is more, some of the devs are so insecure and bad at playing their own game that if you happen to randomly encounter them in the wild mid patch and beat them, you can expect to see severe double digit DK nerfs the following tuesday, even if we are already last in all performance metrics.
its one thing to complain about a rework you don’t like, but you dont’ have to play the game with a degree of caution that your own actions may result in nerfs for everyone who enjoys your class if you don’t let certain players win.
i would happily take spriest level treatment because being ignored is better than being bullied.

My guy what are you talking about spriest does absolutely nothing but underperform CONSTANTLY and when they do a rework and buff us and were seen for less than a patch they nerf the entire class into the dirt and rework us again. Ive played DK plenty since wotlk. Your class is absolutely fine.
spriest is a sneaky class to counter, its generally low key enough that player’s don’t realize its too late until its too late, don’t act like it does nothing.
and there is a difference between your situation and DK’s situation, your situation is that you don’t like your situation, our situation is that someone at blizzard hates us.

Your class has been the spotlight of AWC, MDI, world first races and so on you get nerfed like one time but ok sure lets ignore MONTHS of top performance in literally every single xpac. Remember when spriests were top in MDI but only because aug evo broke them and that got priest nerfed and reworked somehow. Couldnt be dk lol. Eat your nerf while your class is still performing absolutely fine rn just not over the top like it was. Absolutely not gonna sit around and try to be complained into believing DK needs some tears shed for it that’s wild.

lol, DK gets a few hours in the sun before we are hard nerfed back into the gutter every expac, and in that gutter we will remain for the rest of the expac.

no, we look at data from 3rd party sites such as class and spec representation, there has been too many instances where DK gets a random nerf mid season that can’t be accounted for with other data. given the often double digit size and kneejerk nature of them, we know it comes from a sour dev.
you get nerfed because your class is OP, we get nerfed because an insecure dev lives in the shadow of the original blizzard team.
i’ve never watched them, at all, ever, not even once, and i have played this game for nearly two decades. now granted i do come from the generation that actually plays games instead of living vicariously watching someone else play them via stream. but you don’t just have to take my opinion, you can just look at engagement numbers. a few hundred to a few thousand watchers of an event for a game with millions of players.
well the thing is we have the ultimate revenge, all we have to do is not quit and go beat up the dev again.

Im starting to understand now. You assume i also havent been playing since vanilla but youre the old guy who is tone deaf to the community and thinks hes always right very boomer-esque. Some of peak wow days were watching content creators like swifty thyraz bajheera and a mountain more but youre old and intolerant and want to bicker instead. Which makes a lot of sense honestly. Im 32 and have been current with this game also 20 years and actually paid attention to the community not just bias feelings like you. You have out of date opinions on wow and an even worse mindset.
