I enjoy wow, but just from a casual pvp perspective. Like many I rolled horde and now come to realize that it’s just not possible to play on a casual level due to que times. I also know it’s not very playable due to honor issues. :I see honor getting a fix more than Horde issues it’s a matter of when:
I have been waiting to see if blizzard would possibly post something as a fix. At the same time yes I know “Reroll” is an option. Sadly I wasted my boost. So got to start level 1. I don’t like vanilla areas so it’s always hard for me to level till 60ish. :thats why I have no issue with boost. I know how to play it’s just a matter of motivation to level. Seriously the amount of alts I have is ridiculous. I’m burnt out from leveling:
So before I attempt to reroll. I got some questions.
#1On PvE servers am I able to find premades for pvp on alliance.
#2 If I Solo que how bad is the AFK problem and win/loss.
#3 would you all prefer a resto Druid or Enhacment shaman? :Tempted resto druid just never played druid in TBC. I find I can deal with Loss in Bgs when I heal. And not DPS:
#4 is this game worth the time with how meta/sweaty its become.
I just want to play the game but I feel that player made issues like Meta gearing/Faction choices/ meta for honor grinds/ bots have all taken the fun out of wow.
I have played horde and alliance side by side since 2007 and started horde in 2004. I am well aware of the issues that hurt both sides. I just wish to know how badly alliance are affected by its normal AFK/BoT/ and unskilled player issue. not all are unskilled I just understand most pvpers went horde. I’m not making fun of alliance I’m stating a fact that I see alliance even use
Is it really worth my time to reroll? Is what I’m asking As a pvper.
ps: No retail isn’t an option I quit retail a while ago. I just came back to play my favorite xpac.
And conversely, a team of 8 healer and 2 DPS are going to have a hard time vs. a team of 8 DPS and 2 Healers.
It is a balance, both DPS and Healers are important, and no one role is more important than the other.
From my experience as alliance. We always lack healers in BGs though. So in most cases rolling a healer to BG will be more beneficial if you are Alliance.
Pretty much every other genre of game is more suited for balanced PvP than a MMORPG is, so unless you enjoy ganking or being ganked then MMORPG PvP isn’t for you.
Yea it always been the same on both sides. Lack of healers. I do know I love healing when in good a d bad games. It’s always fun to have a train of players chasing my druid and can’t catch me. Or when I focus heal some extremely geared player a whole match. I love to make people into God’s.
So yea really thinking about druid just cause even if games are bad and I’m losing I still have fun. DPS I just get annoyed and frustrated. It’s not fun to be Enhacment shaman and keep getting 1 rogue chasing you the whole match or something else.
No you don’t. Just make a new account, theirs really no benefit to staying on the same account as their is in retail. Nothing is shared between your characters or account so making a new account doesn’t impact anything but friends lists which is an easy fix.
I got a 6 month sub and boost…my options are waste more money on wow, or use the time I paid for. Yes I know I have option to make a new account. Yet why burn more money?
Sounds like excuse making and not problem solving to me. If you don’t wanna burn that indactes you are more happy with leveling from 1 than paying 60 bucks (15 month sub and 45 bucks for boost). Personally I know from leveling like 30 characters to 50+ that it takes on average about 5-7 days played 2-3 days played if mage boosting. saving that amount of time is well worth 60 bucks to me, but that probably depends on your lifestyle/income/ a bunch of other factors.
That being said, I actually kind of expect paid faction changes at some point in TBC.
#2 Depends on your goals. On my Alliance toon I haven’t had a problem with AFK’s or win/losses like other people have indicated, It feels about 50/50 and people are reporting AFK’ers so there has been less of them over time.
#3 play what you want to play. Don’t play for other people. I prefer to have agency over the outcome of my interactions so I don’t play healers outside of organized groups. Healers only “feel” like they have agency when you’re playing with good players.
can’t answer since i have not tried ally pve server
Ally lose around 70% of pub BGs in both 661-69 and 70 brackets.
Prepare for forum heroes to say “it’s just you, i win 99% of my pub bgs” lol. I play on prime time USW only week nights so maybe ally win more at like 3am or something. The afk problem is horrible, with many bots literally not moving 1 inch from the initial spawn, and 2-3 more guys who just chill at Stables, pickpocket mobs in AV mine, or “defend flag room” etc. And games almost always start with less ally (Their queue pops. They wait 110 sec hoping for their “first choice” to pop, it does, repeat x4 players, game just started 11v14 and you got stomped in the initial clash)
enha sham is fun in pve but basically a joke class in pvp. Least-mobile melee, just gets kited forever. Ghost wolf, ok you just got cc’d by the infinite amount of horde Druids and Hunters. can do crazy damage if he gets in range. but that’s it Resto sham are good in BGs but bad in arena. Druid is very easy to play in tbc and probably the most powerful class in both bg and arena
not really imo for a casual player. even bottom-barrel pve players will have access to all the t6 trinkets etc. And raid tokens will give arena gear later. Sucks to say
One thing ally don’t mention is the pub bg mentality is a joke. highly negative, defeatist, giving up for fast mark, reporting those who dare to engage enemy players in AV, ton of joke pve specs like ret paladins/tree druids/shamans with all points in resto
I like having all my characters in 1 spot. I play multiple other MMOs. I will also admit that druid I’ve only leveled healer and don’t like the other specs. Started druid end of wrath so it was easy mode. So I Will admit I’m curious to see how leveling druid in TBC as fearl is and maybe learning bear tank.
I play enh and I’m a BG hero. I’m not done levelling, so I haven’t done any 70 pvp (I’m 65 rn).
But ime, in world pvp enh gets trashed. With teammates it’s better. You can do cool stuff with grounding totem. But you have no hard cc and no tools to avoid getting kited. Frost shock and earthbind both have a 20 yd range so while they’re both very powerful, they’re not helpful against ranged classes… Also remember that you’ll often want to hold frost shock for interrupts so there’s that. Windfury has a decent chance to one shot a clothy, but in order for that to work you’ll need to proc windfury and get multiple crits (v low %). It feels good to use your totems cleverly, but they get stomped by good players (and keep in mind that totem stomping macros work…).
It feels like you’re working very hard to catch them in melee, but then when you finally do it’s a pretty small chance to actually do something. When it does happen it’s a big laugh, but I really can’t stress enough that it doesn’t happen when you want it to. Playing enh shaman is like spending your rent money on lottery tickets.
I think it’d be fun in BGs with a healer friend to cleanse but tbh I’ve lost my appetite to finish leveling the spec. Ele is really appealing to me, because it doesn’t care as much about getting kited and can throw out lots of support until it’s time to burst, but you’ll probably still be a free kill for most classes if they catch you without your team. And it’s also not the spec you asked about so, you know.
And I will tell you that I boosted a druid and abandoned it at level 60. Feral, both bear and cat, are extremely boring (but again, that’s an opinion and it’s not based on complete information)
Ive been in way more gamed witj no healers than games with too many healers. Id wager i can probably count on one hand the times ive had too many healers.
Yep but part of Enhacment flaws is what makes it my favorite class. Kind of like how a lot of alliance players have been saying “I like to be the under dog” that’s also why I like Enhacment. I started playing it right Before ZA patch in OG TBC. I think back then it was definitely easier to play in BGs because no one played the spec. So lots of casual player :who made up most BGs: didn’t know how to counter it. I think now days enhancment would definitely be harder to play in pvp. Yet a very good pve class for sure. Aways was in TBC :more at later patches and that’s what it works now days:
Druid I’m not sure on as I started mine in wrath so yea it will be interesting to level. I will say the only reason why I wanted TBC was just to replay enhc again. It’s still possible but I think waiting for later in the game will be best. Maybe just stick at 69 bracket and get up to 75k honor.
As for abandoning the druid that’s what I’m worried about. I never liked fearl, moon, or bear. Only resto…I guess I could just spam run instances but that’s boring to me. Pve in wow is just horrible. So is pvp but again why I like pvp is because blizzard can’t balance so it makes pvp fun.
I just feel sorry for anyone that takes wow seriously cause it’s not a good game. Just a good filler and Zone out game.
