What:
informal IC socializing in a relaxed ambience offering a bit of variety from the tavern hubs. Come as a group or come individually: race, class and guild affiliation don’t matter.

Seasonal non-intoxicating beverage menu, plus foods by our friends Jingles (Dragon Noodles, etc.) & Jinseon (buns & other sweet treats).

Where:
Mistfall Village, Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

IC (& OOC) location is in the smaller unnamed tavern that is on the west side (closer to the river & the pet battle master) of the central plaza in Mistfall Village. If things get crowded we’ll move (OOC) to the nearby outside seating area.

When: Normally a couple of Sundays a month, 7 - ish PM server time.

Please note the change of start time.

Opens when the staff gets there – often earlier than the official start time. If people need OOC assistance we might be there but not IC til a few minutes late.

Come when you want & leave when you need to.

How:
Mistfall Village is not officially a sanctuary, but we will be treating it as such for IC purposes.

Amiable chars of any affiliation are welcome to attend. Pandaren is our first language – you are welcome to use elixir of tongues, with or without cross-rp, or some genuine IC translation …

OOC Etiquette
Unfortunate that this needs to be explicitly stated, but:

Behave with the respect for others that you would at a restaurant irl.

“I’m not IC yet” is no excuse for being disruptive. Please be respectful of other people’s RP style and immersion preferences. Would you drive your car through the front door of a place of business irl? Aim a flashlight at other patrons’ eyes? Bounce a ball off tables and walls?

IC info:

This is about sharing a bit of traditional Pandaren culture, not to turn a profit. Our regular menu items are offered without charge. A bit of emoting with the host & staff is the best payment there is. A bowl for IC tips will be next to the crane figurine on the “leave a lucky-do” table.

The Quilen & Cloud Teahouse practices the spirit of jihui - the game is won only when all players are happy with the outcome.

  • No fighting, no biting: NO WEAPONS ALLOWED !!! IC there is a lockable weapons rack just outside the door. No Weapons includes “healing” staves, hidden daggers, visual effects such as spells, etc.**

  • Play Nice: IC this is an emotional/physical haven. Avoid discussion of controversial topics such as factional or racial tensions.

Theme Nights

Once a month we attend The Wanderer’s Festival at Turtle Beach as part of the evening. We depart from Mistfall at about 10:30 PM to get to Turtle Beach and get our bonfire lit before the last ceremony at 11 PM.

Other IC themes to align with festivals, micro-holidays, etc.

Yes, Sunday, Lunar Festival theme. Bring fireworks, firecrackers, dragon costumes, etc. for when we go to the beach later in the evening. Inky black potions as well to make the bonfires & lanterns extra spectacular.

I was a guest speaker & debater a couple of times. They enjoy having people from outside the guild participate. & Since then I have joined the faculty on a different character.

Sent invites for both dates.

Please note that the second date has changed to the 24th. Got an IC wedding to attend on the 17th.

Lest you think the “entertainment” was pre-arranged I can assure everyone I spent more time distracted from tracking what was going on by laughing than I did thinking what to type in response.

It was especially nice seeing people getting into the festive mood. Hopefully there will be something “in the air” at the next get together.

Check the OP for offerings you may want to reserve in advance of the 24th. Give us the chance to work up some good IC descriptions to meet your needs.
