While I’m on board with Void Elves having skin and hair color options reminiscent of their High/Blood Elven cousins, the problem lies primarily in the design side of things and we’ve got Panderan to perfectly showcase that problem. That problem is one of faction identity.
Yeah, orange name plates help, but until those pop up, I’m going by silhouette, and it can catch me off guard if the Panderan is unfriendly.
Void Elves with typical High Elven colors will pose the same confusion. Properly fully armored they already would if it weren’t for their ears. Ergo, if Void Elves get these customizations, something will be done to corrupt the skins and hairs so that they’re still unmistakably Void Elves. Just a fair warning.
The alternative is going back to the roots of the High Elves and adding color options to Night Elves that suggest the start of a new breed of High Elf.
But ultimately, if people think the Alliance are ever getting blue-eyed blood elves, they’ll have to settle with dreaming. This is something I do not expect Blizzard to budge on, because before the lore, it’s a poor design choice for a factional setup.
