Quick MoP Classic question

Is the MoP Classic story supposed to start at the very beginning of the expansion, or will it start after Garrosh did his thing to trash Vale of Eternal Blossoms?

I missed out on MoP when it was live and didn’t make it there until Legion was current. A friend told me that the original quests in the zone were quite good but they aren’t available in retail anymore. I’m hoping to finally get to experience all of MoP.

i have no idea, i hope its all there but i remain low expectiations till i see blue posts on how things are handled

It will probably run through updates each phase. we’ll likely get the initial eternal vale and it change and progress though each phase(patch cycle), like in the original.

Cata was like that, we had updates to Hyjal up to the opening of Firelands.

it will start at the beginning of the content phases and go through them just like how they did TBC-Cata.

phase 1 will be the intro to MoP with base content, phase 2 will be the Alliance vs Horde update in Krasarang Wilds, phase 3 will be the Isle of Thunder content, phase 4 will be the Barrens update, and finally phase 5 will be Siege of Orgrimmar along with the changes to the Vale.

hopefully phase 2 and phase 4 will be either sped up or just not counted as its own phase that needs to last 3 months since they don’t bring any new raids

The current build has the pre-garrosh vale of eternal blossom. They are most likely going with the the old map (and quests) until 5.4.

in retail you can talk to an npc to travel back in time to before garrosh corrupts the vale I believe

So we will almost certainly get bugged quests that will phase us into the tainted vale.
