Just stopping back in to provide an update to my initial reply roughly 5 hours ago. At that time, there were 14.8k in queue (originally joined with closer to 17k). I’m now currently dealing with 2.3k in queue. I’d estimate I’ve been in queue today for close to 7 hours. Why should I continue to pay for a game that I can’t even play? @blizzard

I play on Grobbulus and I joined queue at 1:30pm today and it was over 4 hours long. I played FF14 because you can’t play Retail while in queue for Classic (which doesn’t make any sense to me) and did that for 3 hours. I went to get dinner, and by the time I was back, I had missed the character selection screen and had to restart queue…for another 4 hours. I had tried timing myself so I wouldn’t miss character select, so I think it was only by 10 minutes or so.
I don’t plan on leaving Grobbulus and going to a dead server where none of my friends are and it will be impossible to get groups together to do raids. At this point, it also seems like a bad idea to remove Joyous Journeys when Wrath fully drops later this month because if they don’t fix the server issue, anyone who doesn’t reach 70 beforehand will have to grind for an extra amount of time before they can actually play new content.
Also worth noting that if Blizz takes too long to implement proper fixes, Wrath might not make it past October in terms of retaining players. No one wants to spend their sub in queues or transferring somewhere to play with no one else.
what are the chances Blizzard implement a single server?

I took the free transfer for 2 of my toons to Sulfuras, which is currently dominated by Horde. I do not recommend this if you’re an ally from Benediction lmao.
just to give you an idea of how bad it was… there was more people in queue than there were playing retail.

The worst in all that is that even if we did wait 6h Q for some of my friends, It bugged out and we could not form group or get into an instance. So we gave up on our raid. Does blizz know about dynamic server? I mean it’s 2022. Now the only solution they give is to transfer that will die after 5 months.
Heard it echoed, but last night (aside from queue times) even PLAYING the game was pretty crap, as the server was so bogged down from people playing the game (ya know, the thing the server is literally made to support people doing) that everyone was experiencing server lag
I just don’t understand why Blizz makes such a stink about social contracts and pointless little cosmetic changes but is silent right now when it comes to the game actually being playable for thousands of subscribers? Like wtf?

I think the ques are just going to get worse as more and more people are choosing to use remote desktop to try and log in before they get home from work. I’ve noticed the ques are double of what they were last week.
I tried logging in last night at 5:30pm EST and I was met with a 15.5k person que. I didn’t actually get into the game until 11:30pm. A 6 hour que is insane. Today the que has already started at noon, albeit was only 10 minutes but it’s only noon, on a weekday.

After almost two decades of blizzard squeezing a fat dump onto the chins of all of its subscribers, I fail to see how anyone is even remotely surprised by this.

All they have to do is move 1/3 of benediction on one realm and 1/3 of benediction on another realm. (Can do this for any other mega server.)
Then, make those specific servers cross-realm! Easiest solution!!! They can even transfer them to an existing dead server!!! Two birds with one stone!
I cant even play the game im paying for, I currently feel like im being ripped off right now. 13k in queue? This is nonsense, i cant even transfer my characters to another server with an active population of raiders because they closed it for transfers. Im so angry about this whole situation.

First off how stupid are you to ask people to transfer to a server that is completely horde from a server that is completely alliance, why would we transfer to a server where the SW auction house is as dead as can be. I work full time with 2 kids, guess my fiancé will be logging me in at 8-9 am so I can skip ques like everyone else is doing, only other option is to transfer freely to a completely dead server or a all horde server. This is pre-patch, not even game release. Blizzard can never get it right.

Unless you really want to play arena and have a variety of partners, why on earth would you play on this server. There are many servers that are not dead, and in no way will the population ruin your raiding and questing experience. Do people realize what layering is, and how many other server fill at least one layer. Mind-boggling, super annoying and illogical
Can only transfer to Sulfuras (Horde dominated) or Old Blanchy (Completely dead). Benediction is an alliance server. I am transferring but I have to pay because I’m not going to them servers, just can not currently transfer because there’s mail on all my characters and unless I get on early in the morning que is at 15k by the time I get home lol. none the less this is an issue blizzard should’ve seen coming and needs to do something about. Most people can’t afford to transfer because blizzard wants to force them into crap servers that will be utterly dead in 2-3 months when wotlk levels out in playerbase.
Thats the other annoying part, two days in a row I went to transfer my main but I can’t because you know mail. And Cant log in to delete the random letter some NPC sent me lmao.
The majority of WoW Classic players are 30 plus with jobs. I haven’t checked xfer costs but they cannot be un-affordable to most players. I mean I understand joining the hype server, and it was really good for a long time but this 3.5 hour ques are just insane. And as someone who wants to play arena, I feel like I’m being held hostage here because I wont find the quality or quality of players on other servers to que with.
