Quests still aren't giving all transmogs in TWW prepatch

Yeap, Can confirm this is still not working. I’m hoping this is a bug, or just a change that isn’t brought in until tWW but who knows with Blizzard.

Think all anyone wants at this point is some clarification.

This! I imagine this may actually be too large an undertaking to translate through to live. May have to redo the quests on each armor type to properly receive all rewards in future.

That’s what people are hoping to avoid. for more modern expansions it’s doing it 4 times, for older ones like cata and TBC it means doing it 8 (2x4) times, because blizzard decided to make some quests unique to quests only one faction has access to.

Still occurs on the latest beta build 11.0.2.56044. For example, completing Stalker Mastery on a Priest doesn’t reward e.g. Hemet’s Leather Legguards.

EU post here where GM says that this isn’t the case? WoWhead and Morgan Day said the opposite though?

Can never trust a random CS member.

We need a Blizzard post about this.

Collector discords have been expecting this since as the alpha/beta started and that MrGM interview was around!

Blizzard does interviews promising retroactive transmogs unlocks for every quest done and future.
Beta had it working.
Live doesn’t have it working.

CS calls the feature promised a bug.

Way to go back 2 steps instead of forward Blizzard and breaking your promise.

My favorite part is the fact they told us when the prepatch launches, we wouldn’t be able to play for up to a couple hours while the warband populates the data for your account.

Which is what happened on Beta.

But it was instantaneous for everyone in 11.0, because they disabled this feature.

So to say it was never intended is just a blatantly false statement, due to the fact they told us not to expect to play for up to a couple hours when 11.0 launched.

This is getting ridiculous. CS contradicting direct dev interview answers… Blizzard needs to make a proper response to this.

The desiring function was achieved by a “bug” in beta, praised by the community, but got “fixed” in live. emmm…

Why it was promised on an interview, worked perfectly on beta, and now they claim it was a bug??? They need to explain that.

They are back tracking, this needs to be shouted from the hills. Keep your promises Blizzard!

This is super disappointing. This was one of the features I was looking forward to most yet once again it’s been removed. Frustrating.

Why is Blizzard so intent on making the dumbest decisions possible in the face of the easiest PR wins?

I don’t normally post on forums but I’m gonna chime in on this one. I was planning on doing a full Lorewalker run specifically to get any appearances I had missed, even though I’ve played for 17 years and have done 90% of them. But four more runs? Eight if I wanted to do both factions? Absolutely not.

It’s “you have to do the Shadowlands covenant content sixteen separate times (four times on four armor types) to get everything” but 100x worse.

What’s the point of having “A member of your Warband has previously completed this quest” in the text box if we don’t receive the rewards? Doesn’t that imply “your Warband has done this, there is nothing further to earn”?

Let’s be honest, here — warbands are the single biggest feature of TWW specifically because of the quality of life improvements, most of which are extremely overdue. Very few people actually care about the expansion itself.

Keep your promises. Make the game respect peoples’ time. You have 20 years of content. There is no reason why someone should need to do it more than once unless they actually want to.

ETA — I don’t blame the GM or CS for saying this was a bug because frankly most of them are underpaid and overworked and don’t know what the heck is going on like 99% of the time. (Trying to work with a ticket will tell you that.) This is 100% on the devs to address, and it’s unacceptable that we’ve had radio silence.

Even if the CS contradict the devs, the fact is that the feature was disable at 11.0 and few noticed it.

With this and an article on WoWhead, (https://www.wowhead.com/news/blizzard-confirms-quests-will-not-reward-all-appearances-in-the-war-within-345742#beta-behavior), maybe Blizzard will give us a proper answer.
I have done all the quests once on my Alliance main, partially with my Horde character.

I don’t have the time to do all the quests on 4 characters.

Why when they have good ideas, they ruin it with a stupid decision?

Either Morgan Day lied, or Morgan Day doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about. Both are worrying for different reasons, but this is an asinine stance on this. I just can’t fathom how they see this as a good move. They should have taken the free goodness, since it’s CLEARLY something EVERYONE WANTS, and if it was bugged, JUST LEAVE THE BUG IN THE GAME AND TAKE THE WIN BLIZZ. I just don’t get it.

From the transcript on the Wowhead article, it seems like he didn’t understand the question?

I mean, it was clear as day, how he misunderstood it is beyond me.
