I use buttons 4 and 5 (mouse).moved the mouse cursor to window 1 wow, then clicked 5 (mouse), then moved the mouse cursor to window 2, and then clicked button 5 (mouse) again. After clicking the mouse button 4 or 5, the WoW window becomes active, skills are also used, you only need one click. This works with the scroll wheel(the window does not become active). No need to constantly press Alt+tab. Can this method be considered broadcast software? Can a GM accidentally mistake this for Broadcasting Software?
You won’t find any Game Masters here. That being said, the best place for clarification on what counts as input broadcasting software is probably best answered through the original news post:
We’ve examined the use of third-party input broadcasting software, which allows a single keystroke or action to be automatically mirrored to multiple game clients, and we’ve seen an increasingly negative impact to the game as this software is used to support botting and automated gameplay. The use of input broadcasting software that mirrors keystrokes to multiple WoW game clients will soon be considered an actionable offense.
If it doesn’t mirror keystrokes to multiple WoW clients, that means it’s not broadcasting software. There are other forms of automation that aren’t broadcasting software, if that makes sense.
Sorry, but we’re not going to be able to review and approve whatever method of control you use for your characters, Akler. Input Broadcasting Software tends to be a fairly specific kind of program. Be sure you aren’t using that.
Game Master’s aren’t responsible for this kind of investigation. So no, a GM won’t mistake it. Could it be mistaken? I couldn’t say, it doesn’t seem like Input Broadcasting Software, does it?
Thank you for the answers, I hope I will be checked again=(
