Question regarding WoW licenses

Okay, so I know a single bnet account can hold up to 8 licenses (separate WoW accounts). I also know it’s no longer possible to move licenses off a bnet account or even delete them entirely.

My question is, is the cap of “8 total” split between regions or seperate? EG, I can have 6 NA licenses and 2 EU licenses, or 7 NA licenses and 1 EU licence, but not 7 NA licenses and 2 EU licenses?

Well, I have 1 EU WoW license & 7 NA WoW licenses on this Battle Net. When I just attempted to add another EU WoW license, it told me “You have reached the maximum number of allowed accounts.” It said the same message when attempting to add another NA WoW license as well.

The way I understand it to work, is that you can have any combo of regional licenses up to the max of 8 per Battle Net account.

That’s really unfortunate, but thanks, Kyzera.

Since accounts can no longer be deleted due to warbands, and since EU and NA accounts don’t actually share a warbank or much of anything, really, I just want to voice my hope that either the “8 licenses per bnet” is expanded to consider EU and US as separate with separate limits, or we can regain the opportunity to split them out. I haven’t played my EU accounts in so long blizz has released many of my char names and it’s a bitter pill to find that i can’t delete them and they’ll just hang around forever clogging up space like that ancient car my ex has been “restoring” for fifteen years.

You’re welcome. Hopefully, one day it will be easier to deal with defunct licenses.

You can submit a suggestion via the in-game suggestion tool OR via the General Discussion forum for Blizzard to reconsider their stance on it.
