I have a question regarding the authenticator app and information I found out as follows:
Battle.net Authenticator App Retiring 5 January 2024
The Battle.net Authenticator app will be retired on 5 January, 2024. Download the Battle.net mobile app now and migrate your authenticator to avoid any issues logging in. More information available here.
…
My question is as follows:
Will this affect players that still have / use PHYSICAL authenticators that give you a code to sign in with? I do not want to get locked out of my account, but not all of us have, or use, smart phones so are unable to use apps. I just wanted to clarify before the date came so I don’t lose access to my account. Thank you for your time. Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and Winter’s Veil to you.
Just to touch on what mel said the key fobhave about a 7yr battery life and cant be replaced. If you cant figure out the app there some realy helpful folks here that can help.
Thanks I appreciate it but I just don’t have a smart phone to use the app. I know I could “get a cheap one and etc etc etc” but I’m a Dwarf. I drink me ale. Live in cave. Avoid spam telemarketer calls. Simple as. (Don’t mean this hateful but I prefer a peaceful quiet life).
Suppose I’ll just have to change my password every day or some thing.
The venerable Vrakthris the Fruit Eater has graced my post with their presence once again. Off to Ironforge I go to get fruit again. Be right back! (Inside joke)
