Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreement. Please note, however, that use of all software or hardware mechanisms used to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multiboxing in any way may result in account penalties.
Now… I want to 5 box when I go farm stuff (mounts and transmogs) - I had been doing it for years via ALT-TAB with 3 toosn at once and have never received a warning/suspension or anythnig as I am doing it 100% maunally by myself with no outside programs. Not this Bnet account obviously.
Now, I would love to bump this up to 5 at once, which I can still do since i am only using the toons to farm… so I tried it this morning on my computer (which is VERY high end), running 5 toons at once, and alt tabbing between 5 is significantly harder than 3 for obvious reasons. Since I have 2 monitors, I would like to keep my main on my Primary screen and the 4 non mains on my Secondary screen, but in order for that to really work well I need a 3rd party program that can isolate each window, throttle its FPS and position them how I want them positioned. That it though, no other featues of this window/instance manager.
Anyone know of one that isn’t part of a mutiboxing solution?
The moment you say you need another piece of software, that would be a red flag to me. No matter what it does, if it’s streamlining the multiboxing environment for you, it can likely land you in trouble.
Simply put, you can’t use anything else really. We’ve seen people claim that they got in trouble for using ‘mouse-over focusing’ to change the focus of a window. Now, whether or not that’s true, I wouldn’t be able to say.
At the end of the day, if you have to ask, then it likely breaks the rules. Otherwise, you just open multiple windows and alt-tab like a maniac
Yeah, that probably a good point. Even if I did find a program that does exactly what I want, Blizzards system still may flag it and suspend or ban me and then I would have to go through a long time of proving to them it isnt a hack or anything… which doesn’t seem to be worth the risk. Thanks Perl, as simple as your answer was it actually allowed me to think it through.
