Question on queue system

So if I queue for:

Solo Shuffle
Random Epic Battleground

Let’s say I get into a REBG and my “number” comes up on solo shuffle after waiting 20 minutes… I miss it, therefor do I go to the back of the line in SS? or do I go to the front of the queue once I am done with my REBG?

Pretty sure the RSS queue will pause when in another BG/Arena so it can’t pop until you get out
