Question on quest progress and changing factions

Couldn’t find this answer in the FAQ’s, maybe I just missed it.

For Nighthold legion Mythic raid I am 2/4 on the short cut quest that goes direct to last 2 bosses. If I switch servers and factions, do I lose that progress?

All quests are cleared and progress reset.

Yes. As Leilleath noted quests are cleared during a faction change, so any progress you had would be lost. If you are planning on faction changing, you might want to hold off until you complete and turn that quest in.
