I just started playing classic a bit ago, and I’m having a lot of fun despite me seeing some negstive takes on the state of classic cata. I’m late to the party as I always played retail, but now I’m fully invested into classic. However a few friends of mine said classic endgame is incredibly gate keepy and can be pretty toxic, and especially since I always play tank.
Just wanted a few other opinions, I’m having fun either way just leveling and such. I used to be a hardcore raider but now I’m a dad and my time is more limited and I try to be selective in how I use it.
I think SoD is much more gatekept than cata, or it would seem that way by the amount of posts, i think its unlikely that a reliable tank couldn’t find a slot, there’s a lot of midcore guilds that don’t have a huge time investment associated with them
The only time I could see it being a problem is if you played prot warrior and were trying to do heroic content, there’s a pretty big community perception against prot warrior in cata
