if you had to order these from most tanky/durable to least in pvp what would it be?
Unholy / FrostDK / Ret / Arms / Fury / Havoc / WW
If a complete ordering is too much, just a top 3 maybe?

p.s. the point of this is that I am attempting to start tanking due to the shortage for m+. However i enjoy tanky melee from other mmos and would like to have a dps spec for pvp that is simliar.
Least durable is WW obviously

It really depends what your fighting for some of these. Like DK is very durable into casters but physical melee make it cry. Arms is decently durable against melee, but cries vs casters. All in all fury is probably the tankiest cause it can deal with both sides sufficiently enough.
I think DK is the move for you. Very good self sustain selfish tanky melee.

Unholy and frost heal the same and it’s tankiness against melee comes from chains kiting. The advantage frost would have is AOE CC you can use to stop and reverse a go into your go.
Downside is frost dk might as well be a DH spec because it’s so boring

Plate will generally be tankier than melee (exception is DH because of blur + leech). If you’re looking for simplicity going into M+ tanking while also PVPing, try out DK. One of the easier tanks to play but also the win condition in PVP is very clear.
having only played arms and ww as past mains myself, i’d say that as someone dealing physical damage it’s dk=warrior>ret>dh>ww in terms of tanky targets i hate to hit. when you mostly do magic damage it becomes dh=dk>ww>ret=war. war would be higher on the 2nd list in most seasons besides this one, d stance seems to be a big glowing weakpoint right now compared to how tanky most melee have been allowed to become
this is so well put, the way playing a cleave against fdk feels is so much worse when you know they’re just fishing for the setup the whole game. it’s like rmp with chains on the tires
