Interestingly enough if you have multiple accounts on the same bnet and you get silence all the accounts are silenced. I found that out a while ago lol

That’s not the only thing it’ll do. It’s an illusionary ban hammer that will have a noticeable aftereffect. That aftereffect being a bigger echo chamber.

For the person who uses it that way, yeah, but you’re still not conveying why that’s an issue. It doesn’t affect you outside of you not having access to someone, which you aren’t entitled to in the first place.

For the record, I could create the same echo chamber now, if I wanted to, just needs a little more effort.

There’s that, but not everyone does that. Another Blizzard forum I post on, there was a guy who had 3 accounts and was harassing another poster. Once the poster figured it out and blocked all 3, the guy actually went out and bought a 4th account to harass him. Of course it got blocked too, but the point is that people will go to lengths to harass people.

Because if somebody actually takes the time and think that, “wow, what I posted was actually f’d up!”, they’ll come to their senses and perhaps make more meaningful posts or threads!

Only then it’ll be too late because that poor X and their alts is ignored by many. And some of those Y’s are complete hypocrites!

Thus! Bigger echo chamber. And Devs will find further reason to ignore us!

I doubt it… most people dont use ignore or report as is. Ive done it for excessive spam and derailment but most are comfortable openly mocking people.
