Question for forum moderators

Vrakthris (I believe said it) False Flagging is actually quite rare and Blizzard only deems it an issue if someone would use multiple accounts under a single BattleNet to flag posts.

Yeah, I remember over the summer there were several trainwrecks of threads about wanting account wide ignore or anonymous posting and that was brought up.

I do agree. I believe they see the posts they flag as problematic. Its all about perception. One manā€™s freedom fighter is another tyrants.

Yea they need a forum revamp. No more level 10 toons to hide behind all bnet tag only. And a updated report system. Watch a large amount of trolls and post spammers vanish over night with posts remaining up that actually hold value vs being falsly flagged by angry asmonites

Account wide ignore should be a thing to be fair. Im all about letting people control their experiences.

Iā€™d just be happy if they separate the Classic Posters and only allow them on their own forums

I agree. I donā€™t understand why some people were so against it. I guess if you ignore one character and then several known trolls disappear, it kind of outs those characters.

But still, Iā€™m a firm believer that account wide ignore would be a positive here.

I saw there was a reference to posts with non-woke takes being allowed to exist without the flag army nuking and the moderators closing
This hasnā€™t been my experience or something Iā€™ve witnessed, but Iā€™m not on the forums that much anymore
Can anyone like a thread like that with over a hundred comments?

Honestly I only saw it as a " if someone is annoying why would you want them to have a easy way around it."

I never even considered it as a detection method.

I would like this very much classic characters hold no value to retail discussions and they come and troll retail.

Retail characters is vice versa, they go and troll classic discussions.

Oh well there is a ā€œsecret discordā€ that some members of the General Discussions participate with some staff people, and they take down threads they donā€™t like.

It is like a secret society. They donā€™t like people talking about it and will silence you if you do.

Paranoia is real

Some felt it was an end-all solution but itā€™s not. People like MVPs, the CS forum clique and others who heart their own comments will thin out however, there are people who multibox. Ignoring them on one account will not ignore them on their others.

Not what I heard from those that are against it. They are convinced you are gonna be able to doxx them and harrass thm outside the game if it was implemented. Since itā€™s now been mentioned, Iā€™m sure (if this thread survives) theyā€™ll show up and run their mouths.

Dang did I miss a legendary thread?

I doubt itā€¦ they are petty vandals spamming threads and forcing them off topic. I doubt a mod is in on it. Itā€™s likely that bit is what gets it pulled.

legendaryā€¦ not really, stupidā€¦ of course.

I got a general idea who you are talking about but they arenā€™t really breaking any rules to get actioned.

Easy solution is to block and not engage with said individuals.

More or less. Its a irritant as they derail threads but its all they can do.

Its on par with people standing in game to spell out a naughty word.

I brought it up too as it happens in 2 of the 3 discords for WoW that Iā€™m in. Itā€™s no secret, theyā€™re some of the most popular ones. I wouldnā€™t be surprised if me whistleblowing gets flagged/removed. If so, Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll read about it in there.
