Let’s say as a rogue, a random Kalimdor quest rewards
Cloth cap.
Cloak.
Leather Chest.
One hand sword.
If I was to pick Cloak, would I also get #3 and #4 unlocked (as it is on Retail)?
Also, will #1 get auto unlocked for my clothies?
Really, just, are we having Dragonfligth iteration of transmog collection, or something like it was during Shadowlands/BFA? Only class specific?
And second question is - Are we auto-getting everything previously acquired, or it will be a “Fresh start” and have to “learn” all new appearances again?
Third question - illusion collection tabs? Will it be a thing? or nah?
They said we were getting Retail’s wardrobe system/transmog but I’m very much under the assumption it will be with Cata’s transmog ruleset, which means level and armor restrictions, no gray/white items, etc. But also since it is retail’s wardrobe, we’re getting previously acquired quest item appearances.
Doubt illusions will be a thing, outside of maybe being able to hide your weapon enchant.
Good news is, unless you have some wild goal of getting ALL transmog, I don’t believe you lose too much with Cata (most old quest rewards are re-used in SOME capacity, or just look bad). I’m collecting all ZG mog (not including all class sets or trash loot… currently), but thats about it.
I was considering getting all Dungeon sets, but the DMF in Cata’s last patch started setting replica versions, so I don’t necessarily need to. Ironweave set is gone and is comprised of mostly unique-looking pieces that don’t return fully till BfA, though.
New Community Council members should be getting selected within the next month, so hopefully one of them is willing to inquire about Classic more than the current ones.
A lot of people are avid mog and achieve collectors.
I mean, I got nearly 9k achieve points, and these are some rookie numbers comparing to others. So the odds are, these are ought to be highly beneficial changes for a lot of players.
That’s a feature they’re adding in TWW. I wouldn’t expect it in Cata Classic. The way it is now, you unlock every quest reward that’s usable on that character.
