Question about the hotfixes

I have a quick question about the April 17th hotfixes for Season of Discovery. I tried asking in-game, but nobody even knew what I was talking about.

Anyway, I see that you can swap T3 Enhancement Shaman gear (Naxx) to T3 Elemental Shaman gear (Naxx) on the hotfix page, but it doesn’t tell you how. The mention didn’t give any directions, so I’m wondering how I go about the swappage? I tried to exchange at the vendor, wouldn’t let me.

Edit: Just figured it out, so we can probably delete/close this. The item swap are on later pages at the vendor.

I would try looking on wowhead of one of the many fan sites. Unless the info is posted on here I doubt you will find exact details. Gm’s will not be able to tell you.

I try to avoid WoWhead these days. It used to be a good compendium, but now it’s filled with even more ads and they try to get you to pay for no ads with premium. Don’t care much for that type of model, unless I use the site copiously.

I was going to try that, but I figured I would ask in-game first to see, but nobody knew about the swap in the hotfix. So I assumed that the SoD forums probably wouldn’t fare much better.

I’ll try that next time though, hopefully it’ll have the answers I seek. Thank you both for the suggestions though.

There are more ad-blockers now than ever :wink: Find one you like that works for your browser and you!

Otherwise, I’ve never in as long as that site has been operating, had any issues with their ads.

I have AVG safe search with a built-in blocker and my anti-virus goes crazy on that site, but it does its job. I can only imagine if you went there al dente or had a lesser quality blocker, your computer would be in some trouble.

I wish there was a 3rd party site you could go to that wasn’t littered with them, but maybe donations to keep it afloat or maybe even a paywall to access more information than what’s given for free. I don’t even really trust Icyveins at this point either though, that’s why I try to visit the forums as much as I can for info.

Well, sites do require funds to stay open, so at some point you either have to be willing to pay a subscription fee or deal with some ads, and overall I can’t really say the wowhead ads have been that annoying or intrusive.

Yeah, there was a period a while back where some of the video ads broke something for me, but it seems to have been fixed.

Yeah, if sites have video adds, especially with sounds then I set the site for an ad blocker. Those are way to annoying.

You can also earn the Wowhead Rare Premium sub status free through site reputation points (requires 25,000) by just contributing to Wowhead through posts, screenshots, and their app client updates.

This will disable the banner and video adverts on the Wowhead site.

I’ve had this premium wowhead access for a number of years and it so good without the adds. This is a must for everyone for that uses that site.

Oh is THAT what that’s about?

I got notifications about it I guess when I finally passed the 25k threshold, but it was literally on April 1st so I assumed it was some kind of site joke :rofl:
