Question about sending email to support contact channel

will they be able to know if its me sending it even if i forget to include identifying information? or do i need to recompose another email?

Was it sent from the email address registered to your wow licence?

Did you included identifying information within the email (character names, wow licence username etc)?

If no to both questions, then you’d probably need to send another with that information…

yes it was sent from the email address i use for wow.
i did not include any other identifying information about myself.
would they still be able to piece together enough info from just the email address?

I’d assume so, but I’m not a Blizzard employee.

would they receive emails during the weekend? i figure ill just wait for a reply by email.

As I don’t work for Blizzard, I can’t say. Emails will be delivered, but I suspect they would not get read or actioned if there is nobody there.

do you mean at all or when i send it? im confused on the context here.

You are confused that if nobody is working in the office over the weekend, your email won’t be read until such time when someone is working?

Or are you confused that email will sit there in the inbox, flagged as unread, for as long as it takes until someone opens it?

no i thought you meant it wouldnt get read at all. ever. like maybe nobody works there anymore.

i guess i read it as if you receive no reply then nobody works there anymore.
thanks for the help.

It’s a long weekend (I believe). I’m sure if Blizzard has shut down departments, we’d know about it (eventually).

But given the very recent changes to the account closure appeals process and ticketing, it seems changes are in the wind (so to speak!).

oh this isnt about an account closure. sorry for being vague. ill just sit and wait.

My point was, there have been very recent changes behind the scenes. I’m sure they’ll get to your email when humanly possible.

yep understood. ill just waitfor the email i think.

I’m not too sure what email addresses are still active for players to reach out to Blizzard. Many are no longer in use as they use the ticket system to log interactions with customers.

I get the feeling you want to keep the issue at hand private, but depending on the issue, you may not be replying to them, but a “do not reply” email address which will never be seen.

If you’re willing to share a little more on the issue, that might help. Just don’t share your email address, personal info etc. here.

the one that was listed on the thing for cm feedback.

For that one, just don’t expect any reply. I don’t believe those emails are replied to, just viewed.

Indeed. While the mailbox is monitored and the staff reviews mail sent to them, they don’t generally reply at far as I know.
