Question about my 3s Comp

Me and my brother are trying to hit glad next season.

We are looking at Running FrostDK/Warlock/me on either a Disc priest and Rdruid and i wanted to get some feedback from more experienced players about which healer would perform better.

Thank you for your time.

Unorthodox comp. Good luck in your push. Typically frost pairs well with aoe stuns. I suppose shadowfury could suffice.

Healer wise… both disc’s fear and druid’s clone dr with lock’s fear. Ursol’s would be very nice to be honest and stamp roar could help you connect. DA and priest’s damage suits your go’s but I fear they’re not needed and ultimately will lack in survivability. I haven’t kept up on healers throughput in slands though.

To be honest I’m not really sure. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will help, but my gut says druid because ultimately they can heal the way you’ll need better and have good utility. Vortex will really be nice.

rdruid

disc is typically really awful at healing warlocks and offer next to no viable utility for them
dk and disc also have 0 synergy

the game would have to be so fast paced that you were either winning or losing in the first or second go for disc to feel good w/ lock/dk

druid’s healing/kit fits much much better

alternatively shaman will likely be good at healing locks again so i’d look into that if you hate druid

stay away from disc/hpal though

also i’m not sure which your brother is or how flexible anyone here is but lock/dk isn’t always very good
actually it’s typically pretty outclassed

if the dk could play warrior/rogue or the warlock could play warrior/monk you’d be a LOT better off
with that said anything is 2400 glad viable in the right hands

Shadowcleave has had a lot of good seasons across many expansions, I wouldn’t write it off that easily. Hell, Frost/Destro was FoTM for a while.

frost does pair well with aoe stuns, but i mean lock fdk was amazing almost all of legion. and i saw a lot of fdk spriest this past season. pretty sure it would be at least high B if not low A tier next season.

Forreal? Hrm. I don’t think I saw a single spriest/fdk. I also assume Legion frost was different because it actually hit hard outside of chill streak. Either way I love the idea. I think slands will see far more comp diversity which I’m all about. Absolutely sick of destro being in 80% of all games.

Frost just ate some hefty nerfs, but I’m sure still deals appreciable damage.

oof. lmao maybe it wont be good then. betas gonna be beta i suppose

I wouldn’t go far enough to call them dead, it was just numbers tuning. Shadow got hefty nerfs as well.

Enhance buffed a ton

Yeah I’m reserving all opinions until max level to be honest. Even feral got nerfed recently. Like…? lol. From what I understand, dual wield was already beating 2h frost as well but I stopped following to be honest.

I also love how most specs/classes have like 2 ranks of spells they’ll get from 50-60. Not sure what they all are for everyone but druids/boomy’s are kinda nice.

Roots take 20% more dmg before breaking and regrowth has a 40% increased crit chance if the hot is already on the target. The boomy ones are good too but pve oriented.

Feral and Boomie got huge stealth buffs recently (flat buff to the spec aura), maybe that’s why big bites got nerfed?

I don’t know I mean even after the 5% feral buff it was still under performing according to the logs available. Also they nerfed ferocious wound. The pvp talent that lowers enemy health by 20% (10% per 5 cp bite) is now 15% (5% per 3 bites). Really promotes mongo play and punishes spread pressure. Training one target all game isn’t really it’s M.O.

Shadow nerfs aren’t all that hefty. Will still be S tier. Mindflay is hardly casted in higher mmr games, so a mindflay nerf is negligible. The DP nerfs are pretty minor too. They look more like PvE nerfs. They want us prioritizing MB over Mindflay, which we do anyways in arena.

They’re definitely impactful nerfs, even though it won’t kill the spec or anything (by a long shot).

I kinda wish Mind Flay did a larger chunk of our damage to be honest, I love channeling with dots up and seeing all the ticks (versus big Blasts) as far as class fantasy goes.

frost/destro was fotm for 1.5 seasons 5 seasons ago
frost/demo was good when both demo and frost were significantly overtuned

unholy affliction was really good in prideful

otherwise i’ve seen 1 lock/dk(unholy) in the last 4 seasons and it was only because destro/hpal could selfplay any third

surprised to hear that

i played like 5 characters way too much this season above and below your bracket and never saw this one

seems like it would be pretty awful

unless you’re confused and meant unholy
unholy sp was insane

this is pretty much what it comes down too
if frost is reliant on chill streak again or struggles doing impactful damage like it has dk/lock likely won’t be good at all

frost in wod/legions FS and oblit damage was so ridiculously overtuned it was basically just a modern dh with chains

nah i saw both a good bit, UH was def more popular, perhaps like 65% were UH and 35% were frost? was specifically one day when we only queued into that comp but the difference between the two teams was the specs
