In cata, will pve gear for doing arenas be just as important as it was in wotlk? or less important or more important? i don’t raid so i’m hoping PVE isn’t too required for arena
also, for destro locks in 2v2, i’m currently 2k cr been running with an rdruid, wondering what healer is best with destro with no voice?

Paladin can dispel magic as well currently. I believe resto sham is decent / meta in cata.

as for cata, justw o ndering how imporatnt pve gear is in arena compared to wotlk
cata requires less time raiding than wrath because of the minimal number of pieces you need but unfortunately some of the trinkets and weapons are so disgustingly overtuned that its a real disadvantage to not have them
the first season of cata is the best for this as most classes wear no pve gear
the second season has the legendary staff for casters which is super op
the third season you get the legendary daggers and vial trinket that are busted for rogues and the cunning of the cruel trinket for casters and gurthalak 2h sword for plate classes
at the high levels of gameplay you can bet that everyones gonna have this stuff, but overall its not like wrath where some classes like rogue/warr wear 4-5 pieces of pvp gear and the rest pve
How important is the pve gear compared to wotlk though?
I’m an affliction warlock, sounds important to get staff/trinket? but how important compared to wotlk? Can i do without them? i don’t raid cuz i dont voice chat

aff lock benefits less from the staff compared to the other casters as its effect is duplicating a spell, which is a lot more of a deal when you’re a bursty fire mage than it is as a dot class. its still better than the alternatives but you could live without it, also its a pain to get
the cunning trinket is really broken though, on the private server every lock uses it. it shoots a shadowbolt volley over a huge range, even through pillars
how do i get the trinket? ty again!! Can i do 2.2k ish, without these?
of course you can.
cunning drops in dragon soul so you have until the end of expac to worry about it
and if cata is anything like wrath most people will probably be fed up with the game by then

IDK how to get it. its from the firelands raid im sure you could look it up but i heard it takes a long time and i cant be bothered since i am a pvper and dont really have the time to raid
i play affli lock too and i will be rocking full pvp the whole expac, maybe i get cunning if i have the time and enjoy the cata raids
