Question about Clone activation and guild

I chose to activate my Classic Era clone, and my character was the GM of a guild in WoW Classic. I didn’t realize all characters in Classic Era start guildless. If I pay to activate my Burning Crusade Classic clone, will that character still have the guild? Thanks!

For Burning Crusade Classic activating the clone for that version is just like rolling into a new expansion. Everything continues the way it was before. Meaning the character along with the guild will continue.

I’d like to ask about the reverse of that. I have a toon that was GM of a guild in Classic; upon BC Classic release I logged him in and took the move to BC content, so the guild now exists in BC Classic.

If I now clone him to allow him to play in Classic Era, does he just “pop back in” to the GM spot … if the guild still exists?

Thanks!

No, as mentioned in the Support Article Kozzae had linked earlier, guilds must be recreated in Classic Era.

For clarification, you aren’t exactly cloning/copying the character from Burning Crusade Classic. A snapshot of the character was taken during the maintenance period for the pre-patch. When you clone the character into Classic Era you are simply activating that character from that snapshot.
