Ive heard that the Cata TMog system we’re getting is account-wide wardrobe system. So my question.
I want the TBC Badges of Justice plate armor to be available for transmog on my new Ret pally.
I have 680 Badges of Justice on my other characters (priest, warlock), but NONE on my ret pally.
If I buy the plate armor on my characters that cannot wear it (priest and warlock) can I use them for TMog on my ret pally?
From what I was able to understand you need to be able to equip the item to transmog it, so i dont think it would actually count as a “collected” piece since the character collecting has no valid skill to that item.
I am not 100% certain of this information, but if you can’t transmog things across sets, cloth will never use a plate skin for example, so having plate on your clothie might not yield credit for the skin on a plate wearer since they were never eligible to collect it, if that makes sense.
You would be correct in that, you need to be able to equip it for it to be considered collected. If you were to equip it on a Warrior (if allowed) then you’d be able to Xmog it on your other plate users (Death Knight/Paladin). I’m not sure where Xmog stands with class specific items like tier, maybe that remains class specific as it would make sense but other items should be fine.
We’re getting the retail transmog system or something very similar, we won’t need to have the items we want to xmog in void storage (as IIRC that’s how it was done in og Cataclysm).
All of your characters can continue to share in the adventure with account-wide Mounts and Pets. And now they’ll be able to share a carefully curated collection of Transmogs.
