Still bugged… Tried all the fixes that worked for others but did not work for me.
Still bugged on Lightbringer as well. I’ve tried the suggestions and was only able to get to 3/5 before the NPCs became uninteractable. Annoying since you need this for achievements…
Same issue for me. I have managed to speak to a few in between running BGs but can’t really repeat results. I managed 3/5 myself.
This has been an issue for over a month and still hasn’t been fixed. It’s stopping people from completing achievements…
I tried everything and thought hmm… Maybe Warmode? Went to Valdrakken, activated Warmode and when I came back I was able to interact with the explorers.

i was able to complete this today, what i did was turn warmode on, i went back to the spot, but at first i wasnt able to interact with the npcs, i went back to the quest area for site salvage and it wasnt letting me interact with the npcs, ive waited a few days since then, i logged in today, and i was in the legion area, i hearthed back to dragon isles and flew to valdrakken and turned off warmode and then flew back to site salvage area (i still had the quest enabled, i didnt abondon it) and i was able to complete the quest, hopefully, this can maybe help someone, because, right now, it seems its either 3/5 or the quest does not work for folks, i would try warmode (turning it off and on, just have to test )if you can see if that helps you, best of luck

Thank you! This was the only thing that worked for me.
I originally had Warmode on and I just could not interact with anything at all, once I turned it off (without dropping the quest), I went back there and the NPCs were interactable again.

For anyone still having this issue, I was having it as well. I hearthed, turned off warmod, and that seems to have resolved the issue. 6/10/2024
