Q SYNC didn’t just get shut down it got dragged into the town square and roasted. Leave the queue get a 15 minutes debuff for that character like Blizzard slapped a giant “I tried to cheese BGs and face‑planted” sticker on your forehead. It’s the digital equivalent of being marched out with a dunce cap while everyone slow claps.
Quality over quantity is back in normal and epic battlegrounds, which means all the self‑proclaimed “PvP gods” who needed their little sync‑stack safety blanket are about to get exposed harder than a rogue who forgot to stealth. Watching them try to survive without their 12 man babysitting squad is going to be performance comedy.
Happy hunting I’m already stretching my jaw for the incoming crying, the dramatic “BGs are ruined” monologues, the “Blizzard hates us” conspiracy theories, and the inevitable dissertations on why their queue‑dodging lifestyle was actually “high skill.”

If they really did add the debuff to Randoms/Epics - Blizzard should be applauded.
The ‘‘drop queue’’ squad is by far the worst of any community.

I missed a queue and didn’t get any debuff. However when I clicked on ‘leave queue’ I got a 15 min deserter debuff.
Edit: the deserter debuff doesn’t seem to be account wide.

Good. They deserve to get absolutely dismantled so normal pugs can finally enjoy Epic BGs again without having to deal with these premade clowns.
What’s hilarious is Oca whispering me in-game about how I supposedly have “not long” before AFKing out of these blatantly predetermined BGs—aka premade vs pug garbage—is going to result in an account-wide deserter.
The irony is beautiful. Apparently my account-wide deserter was coming before his los r premades can stop getting their queues broken up and exposed for what they actually are.
Imagine talking smack about people AFKing out of unwinnable premade stomps while your own premade is the one getting dismantled by the queue system. Absolute comedy.

Every premade including oca and bsg don’t take ques when they don’t get enough.
So they are making it sound like a grand victory except it now forces them to basically take every single pop even when split. Which is really really really bad for premades.
And there will still be excuses as to why they lost like didn’t get enough in etc etc.
and i’m also not sure when oca of all people became anti premade he literally leads one of the most dominant ones there is.

Nah, I think he genuinely believed that when I AFK out of a Random BG against a premade because it’s obviously just going to be a stomp, I’d now get hit with an account-wide Deserter. He was very much mistaken.
He’s since joined one of the premades himself and started doing Random BGs. Ironically, I’ve barely ever seen any of these LOS-R premaders outside of their premade.
The few times I actually have, it’s been in Blitz. One of those was against the usual premader crowd, and our side won. That was back when I was passing through the 1800 bracket.
Funny how often these guys and their confidence disappear the moment they’re not surrounded by their little premade.
what happens if multiple 5 man groups specific que for a bg instead of the random button?

I guess they might just resort to that. It’s pretty funny how they seem completely incapable of PvP’ing on their own merit. Take away the premade and I’d say 95% of them are just average players who aren’t impressive at all.

Only if you click to drop the queue. If you let it run out, you dont get deserter. At least that is what is happening to me. Its not account wide either.

That’s almost as hilarious as what just happened to me. I queued an epic on my dk. Immediately got deserter. Just logged off for the night.. no thanks.
That’s one way to stop premade sync!
Now tested the epic BG queue and let the queue drop on it’s own. = 15min deserter lmao.
If it gives a penalty for both dropping and letting it run out… epic win for the PvP community.
Season 2 is going to be fine… for those of us not hard stuck at 2100.
It could be somewhat fun for those getting Duelist for the 9th time, I guess.
