It is not a weird think to complain about. They talk about staying true to classic and it was a core game component for all the reasons listed above. You can take your negativity elsewhere or you can talk to people like a respectful human being. I don’t denigrate you for things that you like.
Ok bud 1) I’m not crying about it, I’m just voicing my opinion. I literally started out by saying “obviously not a deal breaker” 2) It’s not weird at all, most people I’ve seen on the forums agree with me which makes your the weirdo my dude.
Skeletons on the floor was NOT a “core component”.
Grow up man.
Keep at it man, good luck with your crusade.
I think think the reason most of us are so perplexed by this change is how completely unnecessary it is given other options that could have solved the purported problems:
For example:
-Make the bodies lie at a randomly generated angle, so spelling was impossible.
-Compromise solution: Limit it to no more than ‘XX’ skeletons to prevent spelling.
Instead, they simply chose to remove a game feature that packed a real ‘awe factor’ for many playing.
Skeletons were absolutely an important part of classic wow. For all the reasons listed above by Alley. I really don’t understand the logic of removing them? In anticipation that a person might possibly write something bad, so nobody gets a part of the game that was always around back in the day? Very poor logic and detrimental to the game experience.
It is not enough to make me not play, but damn does this make me upset. No real justification for it and it does make users feel less immersed. This is by far the worst change they have instituted from a logical perspective.
Why don’t we make it so people can’t type too to prevent them from saying bad words?
Well put. -10
R.i.p mass corpses and moonwalking
Please uphold this, don’t turn Classic or any possible expansions into a custom content abominations, if I wanted that I’d just play a pserver since that’s exactly what they are. Even though I’d personally love LFG to not be in WOTLK, it’d go against everything legacy should be which is authenticity and preservation. If one version of the game gets special custom tweaks, that’s a slippery slope for the rest. There’s things I dislike about vanilla I think BC did perfectly, but then you have to ask yourself, how would you feel if your favorite version of WoW, that in your eyes was perfect, was ruined by inauthenticity? This isn’t about making WoW what could’ve been, it’s not WoW 2. This is about recreating and upholding what was lost. I don’t want my heart broken all over again and watch my favorite game get destroyed over the years. Many, many peoples time put into Classic will be in vain.
Talk about a waste of time…
I agree mass skeletons are classic and need to be part of the game this isn’t right blizzard you have to fix this im so super serious like i mean it you better fricken fix this im so steaming mad gosh darn!
Not need move on
I’m not the only one who thinks removing skeletons is pointless and a mistake.
Maybe because all that work isn’t worth it to have a few more dead bodies on the screen?
They pick where to allocate their resources and this is definitely not an area that’s worth more than 5 mins of their time.
and they didn’t remove any feature, why are you people so damn weird about this. They scaled it down, literally didn’t remove anything.
Great work - I really look forward to rediscovering Classic. Quite honestly I can’t believe this day finally came…
All that work? You mean literally changing 2 values in a few lines of code? It would literally less than 5 minutes of their time.
This may be the first time that ive ever written on the forums. However, when I saw that skeles were being removed I had to comment. I agree with Alleymonkey 100% please consider changing this back.
You know absolutely nothing about programming dude.
THEY AREN’T REMOVING ANYTHING.
lmfao, people.
Dude just because you don’t care doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of people who do care. And yeah I know a thing or two about programming. Changing this back would be a breeze.
