Im done watching those things. The lawyer doesnt have any desire to really address the issues the players have with the game. The only thing they understand is money and when they lose it.
5 more days and my time expires. Unless he says they aer making HUGE major changes to the problems I will see yall in classic. The tweaks they made arent enough to fix the broken boring game
If you’re coming back for Classic they’re not really losing your money. Take a stand, quit entirely.
Tell everyone you know to vote, I need to see Ion try and stutter out an inane answer.
Ion, you made your bed now you sleep in it…
Aren’t they all pretty much inane
I think many people have issues with how the questions are handled, not necessarily the answers.
The Q&A sessions are very limited for time. Yet often you will see things like:
- Ion talking for an extended amount of time on one question.
- Follow up questions that are basically about the same topic he just spoke on.
- Important and relevant questions overlooked altogether.
They have had ample opportunity to talk about things that really concern a lot of people, where lots of questions on those topics have been put on the forum post. Things like sharding, WM, long-term server lags - issues that point to the playability of the game, not just parts of the development or planning.
Until they start concisely responding to important issues, many of us will continue to be dissatisfied. What they really need to do is gather a few questions on the same basic subject (whether it be Island Expeditions or Warmode for example), lump them together and then have Ion respond to the topic concisely with a minimum of waffle.

It will be about 30 minutes about how they can communicate better, 10 minutes about how it’s hard to pronounce players names. 20 minutes about transmog questions about last expacs artifacts. 5 minutes of cool new stuff and 5 minutes thanking and saying goodbye.

Don’t they set the time, or is there some limit to live streaming that I’m missing here. I’ve never watched a Q & A either I keep meaning to, and I get busy and forget, or I’m at work.
Q: Why is there so much RNG in the game and do you have plans to move away from that i.e .where the time we spend we know we’re actually working towards something attainable?
A: We’ve always tried to strike a balance in this. If things were just completely deterministic and purchasable off a vendor, you could mark your gear rewards on a calendar - no excitement or reward on the way, just progress to a goal. The flipside is a world where nothing feels predictable and that’s a problem also. Now there’s more loot but more variability within it. Going forward, we’re adding some azerite-related vendors and we’ll be pulling back a tiny bit on the RNG there.
Q: Can you put a smart loot system on our mythic caches?
A: Yes, the pool of items here is gigantic so it feels so random. It would be great to have improvements in breaking streaks of seeing multiple weeks of boots in a row. There’s more that can be done there.
Q: What is the future of Azerite gear?
A: Tides of Vengeance is bringing a set of improvements. Currently, not enough choice within the gear you get. Season 2 means you’ll have more rings/traits to choose from. We’re continuing to add traits, and replacing some lackluster ones. This is how this gear will progress. We’re also looking at additional ways to grow the system, including adding depth to the Heart of Azeroth.
Q: Any plans to bring back tier sets or gear to give definition of class identity?
A: In BFA we’re trying something different. We really wanted the gear to feel like it’s from THAT raid i.e. troll raid looking item versus what does a DK set look like from a troll raid. But it’s likely you’ll see class sets return but for now we like the high level fidelity of the current set up.
Q: Class relics?
A: Yeah might have jumped the gun on that blog post. You’d be amazed at how hard it is to put a book on someone’s hip in game!. We’re still working on this, maybe in heritage armor, probably more related to individual armor sets but not as an item.
How can you say they don’t answer the tough questions, the only problem is YOU don’t like their answers.
Hi honest question where did you find those at?
That is unfortunate to be sure. I don’t believe he does it to stall but we certainly could get more questions answered if he was more succinct.
They have talked about sharding and WM but yeah don’t recall hearing about server lag being addressed.
You keep using the word concise and as much as I admire Ion I have to giggle a bit thinking of that word and his speech. We may be doomed in that regard.
But I agree, that is definitely something that gets listed as a complaint about him often. I watched a couple of the Blizzcon panels and honestly it seems that he does much better when he actually has a prepared statement. That’s one of the reasons I don’t think the Q and As are scripted like some people say.

So basically you’d be happy with…any treatment?
You don’t see a problem with that?
No no man wait until 8.2… err wait 8.3… 8.4 for sure man easy!
This is pretty much spot on. You can go back and watch however many you want and this still applies to all.
It’s Ion’s job to know this stuff. His underlings are not keeping the basics of design direction from him.
He spends plenty of time on questions of zero interest to the playerbase in order to avoid speaking about controversial topics they don’t want to talk about.
I often find this to be the case. They answer tough questions from time to time but people just do not like the answer. They want blizz to admit to making a mistake which they likely will rarely do.
I mean so that is really it, for the most part the argument about them not answering questions is frankly wrong. I mean yeah sometimes they obviously try and answer questions to a specific upcoming patch and thus might avoid general questions still it is more or less people are upset that blizz is not agreeing with them that things are as bad as they see it.
Also a lot of forum questions are often not written well or are generally bitter in tone. Those questions no matter how much they are upvoted are unlikely to get answered.

That was the whole complicity statement.
This is too true! Every question they answer we already know about it…

It should be live questions they pull straight from a live feed.

The Q&A’s have been getting worse, it’s a joke. On their last one they brushed off and downplayed everything. “Sorry we didn’t include important thing in the patch notes, it wasn’t all that bad, most of it wasn’t relevant information anyways, were sorry, we are working on communication, sorry.” On top of that they can’t even manage to get the stream working properly. A random person on twitch with 2 followers can do better.

They are until then. BFA is a total flop
