Q&A Behind the Scenes

True. I can give it that, I’m OK with it not being a QnA. There’s some they really can’t answer due to spoilers. I just want something new in something like that I guess, it’s annoying for them to set expectations only to drown them. If they’d have said “Making of lore stream” It would have been entirely different.

But yeah, the moving on from different formats is nice. Despite my bitter disappointment, I hope they do streams like that for new information too. Like a “new information” or “upcoming patch” stream, I know they did that a while ago, in which it was really exciting and we did learn a lot.

Idem! Idem!

Not communication, if they don’t answer the questions what we do, and only answer those that we are not doing, this is not communication.
As well as talking to a parrot is not a form of communication!

Personally, I’m waiting for the moment when the blizzard shut down the Q&A, as a way to lower costs.

No your attitude and the way you look at the situation is the problem.

Since when has your problem with me been my complacency?

I play wow. When it gets to the point that its no longer fun, I won’t anymore. I am not conceited enough to think that Blizzard owes me anything. That’s a far cry from complacency.

When i quote somebody’s response, its for the point they’re making, not a personal critique. You’re the only one here outright defending their weak Q&A practices, so your dissenting opinion is the one I replied to. Calm down, please.

They didn’t even touch on the storylines. They just told us how they make them, using information that is already public knowledge. “Why are undead night elves joining their killers?” deserved an answer.

Would have been an interesting discussion

If you do not wish to interact with me that is fine but unless I am violating the coc you’ll have to deal with me the way I am. This is the second time you have told me how to behave. Report if its flaggable or deal with it if its not. You know me well enough DvInstigates to know what kind of response you will get from me. Like it or lump it.

Let’s not start a flame war

The Calm down, please was me trying to keep this from turning into exactly what it has turned into – another war between you and your target(s).

I do enjoy when you reference Discord and our brief history of barbs over there. Can we stop picking random fights and discuss the issues about Blizzard and the game? The past 10 or so posts have nothing to do with the game, and technically are all in violation of the forum rules.

Just let it go. Everyone. Please. Pretend this thread just doesn’t exist.

Post A, 300 upvotes: insert real, actual question about the state of the game
Post B, 2 upvotes: Does pineapple belong on pizza?

When Blizzard answers post B and ignores post A, or worse, gives post A a non-answer to quickly move on to the next fluff question, that’s what people have a problem with. Q&As are useless when Lore and Ion want you to hear them talk and they don’t actually answer what’s on people’s minds.

There was one pretty big problem I saw with the reddit thing, though. Any questions that pertained to any community aside from the raiding one were preached to be downvoted. The community continued to say: “Downvote anything not to do with raiding or gameplay, the rest is entirely fluff” yadayada. Which yes, I get that gameplay is important, but it’s very disheartening to see the entire community spitting on something else in the game that’s a passion for many. As soon as anything to do with lore or ARs was asked, it was downvoted to oblivion.

This is another reason why that stream was just such a disappointment. It was a chance to finally have a bone thrown to the story and lore community, people that are really passionate, without having to deal with the rest of the community hating on us. Most QnA have maybe 5% lore or story related questions, if that. I was happy to see QnA becoming more specific, but at the same time, it just… doesn’t seem like it will make much of a difference or be of value at all.

Which again is why I just wait for datamining, because wowhead I can rely on to give new and fun information over the actual WoW devs.

More communication can mean any number of things. I mean, Ion could tell us what he had for breakfast this morning, and that’s technically communication.

So ‘better communication’ is probably more crucial than ‘more information’.

Which should be a obvious way of approach. From a professional standpoint. Which I feel has been lacking.

I need people to vote on my question about Dubloons because I need the answer from Ion himself so I can stare at his smug little face and watch him try to dodge the question.

I want that awkward silence, this is your punishment, ION!

Link or I can’t be bothered.

Wouldn’t linking it be considered “advertising” and I’d get a ban for it?

Oh well, here goes!
