Coming back to this game after 9 years and right now regretting the 50$ spent on 3 months sub! While happy on not having it renewed for 6 months. After 9 years this game is even more disappointing than before!
I seriously think those who make decisions in Blizzard are basically clueless about this game. Dudes, your end game contents are dull and crap, let people having fun at lower levels. my fun was basically to PVP in BGs after I am back to this broken game nearly 9 years later. I was constantly one-shot with those in full hairloom gear! I did not care, as I was all in whites. But I kept fighting and gathered/bought some greens/blues from dungeons. Guess what, I was still not even on top half of the damage meter! I still did not care, as I was in BG bracket that nobody has a mount and it is fun to fight with just a handful of spells/abilities. I hit 19 and locked my XP to continue the fun… Now I am sitting on 2 hours waiting times and no BG pops up!
While everybody nowadays equips hairlooms and basically everyone is a twink, they banned those from BGs who are xp-locked. Bravo! Bravo! Good job Blizzzzzzzz.
Canceled my sub right away. This game died 9 years ago when I left it. Any hope that it ever comes back to its glorious days is an empty dream. Blizzard knows it too and tries to make people to come back with the re-release of classic. I am back because of that but feel completely deceived. Therefore, I am not optimistic about this game anymore. The core is rotten and it cant be fixed by changing the cover.

I honestly don’t see how this can solve anything. Besides, their smartass solutions has been often shown to adversely affect the whole game, resulting in decay of subs and players. They just make the situations more complicated than what it is.
The answer is very straightforward. If someone has problems with BGs, there are tones of other ways to level up. They don’t need to step in and then cry out about the difficulty of leveling in BGs! Back in good old times, there was even no XP gain in BGs! So the solution is that let everyone log into BG and play as they want. No more crying to papa about that guy who kicked me in the balls and I could not do anything. You want to kick him back go make a twink. You cannot make one then stop crying, don’t join PVPs. This is despite the fact that right now with all hairlooms every numbs can be a twink. so what is all the cry about? seriously?
It is not anymore like old times where twinking was very difficult. No hairloom, no XP lock, nothing. Twinks were doing tones of tricks to obtain the best gears without dinging to the next bracket. Twinks were always parked outside cities to avoid being rested. I personally knew a guy who rolled 3 rouges farming scarlet only to get two of those BIS daggers from Vishas. He dinged on 2 of those chars, deleted them and started over again till he finally got both daggers on the 3rd char. Considering how hard leveling was, twinking needed a lot of planning ahead and considerable amount of efforts and knowledge was put to make one. So how the hell this guys even cry about it when stepping into the BG full in whites or even hairlooms!? They are basically the same numbs crying about others having epics at max level and asking why they don’t!!!
The idea is that you will be able to queue up at lower levels just using a higher level, basically doing the same thing with your character just not technically at the correct level. I agree that they shouldn’t have split the queues, but at least this serves sorta as a compromise. Interesting how it was introduced shortly after the queues were split, i’m sure they were planning this feature already but the timing is interesting.
Ah by the way @Demonsocks I just wanted to denote that it appears DHs get all their abilities at low levels at least they do right now so it doesn’t necessarily turn out the way 99s did and as such this could be a very interesting change of balance.
Yeah, well. It sounds like it’s intended to force players of twink characters to level up to 120 and gear up so they can farm levelers in sub 120 brackets.
So in what way is this an improvement, aside from turning these bgs into a sandbox for max level players who are bored and Blizz doesn’t want to make content for?
What they need to do is to turn the “xp off” queue into a rated bracket with better rewards, maybe titles or mounts/pets. Twinks and other dedicated pvpers would have an incentive to play more and play against other good players.
Um, that would only have worked if they hadn’t driven those players out of the game. So too late.
Low level PvP will be exclusively for parties with 4 max level players and an anchor toon.

Just remembered talking about it after briefly going over the previous thread. If you mean if you can queue up in bgs for PvP at lower levels with higher levels, then yes it does have scaling now. However, since not many people are really queuing in PTR, its difficult to actually test it unless you make a ton of PTR accounts to do so(I imagine this would work, but I have not tried it).
You can you just can’t blow the crap out of levelers feel free to get heirloom gear and enchants and turn your xp off. If that isn’t good enough for then you should probably get better.
Or you know you could play on a semi even playing field don’t worry I’m very sure they will notice the oversight and bads will moan and gnash their teeth they can’t just outgear everyone again.
I am not sure whether you understood me. So what you wrote here in response does not make much of sense. My point was that even the levelers are now in full hairlooms. Why the hell they cry about twinking why basically everyone nowadays is a twink?!
Man the tears of the horde having to wait for BG is so good. You wanted easy mode ganking alliance 10 to 1 in world pvp. Now suffer. Faction change can burn in hell.
After testing out the party sync I believe you will be disappointed by what it does. As of now it disables all enchants, on use items like trinkets, proc effects and gems. Throwaway twinks will still be stronger than a 120 using party sync.

Not all levelers are. If everyone’s a twink why does it matter if you are leveling and your gear levels with you? Obviously it’s not the same or else you wouldn’t be complaining that you can’t wreck leveling people at 19.
