8.3 PVP changes will indicate what they are doing. No warforge or titanforge in patch 8.3 which diminishes the “assigned” potential value of gear earned via PVP. Maybe they bump up the item level slightly higher or even allow corrupted gear to be earned via PVP. Lots of question marks!
Just want my vendors again Thornado . I love collecting my gear from the vendors and running off to spam random bgs for the rest of the expac. I don’t want anymore Mythics .
i havent pved in retail since legion really legion had pvp vendors even tho they were rng.
classic wow will have vendors in phase 3 so if you want wow pvp vendors play some classic wow.
Classic isn’t my cup of tea. I’ll wait til TBC I suppose. I’ll still give 2-3 months after shadowlands release to make a decision on purchase or not. Guess I’ll have to see. Verdict isn’t looking good right now though.
they said their not doing tier sets in Shadowlands so probably no PVP vendors either.
From what I’ve seen, I think their approach is to give rewards that give more options to choose from such as various reward options for the weekly chests.
I would love for vendors to come back but somebody shouted it and everyone just kinda pretended not to hear it. The system they have in place right now is weird, like getting offered a 370 weapon as my first reward when I was rocking a 385 at that point. Being able to choose your goal would be nice lol
Sarcasm I hope.
WoD’s PvP gear was definitely my favorite iteration and I wish they’d just go back to it (Vendored gear that scaled up when involved with PvP.) Even for WPvP, wearing your Conquest gear + the Legendary Ring was ideal, and that just made a hell of a lot of sense.
Like OP said, however, the only thing specifically said over either day about PvP was that War Mode would still be in place…
The silence is a bit deafening on the PvP front.
Yeah not good enough for me.
I want actual vendors which I can buy gear off of using currencies earned from PvPing.
same but if they kepted the rng lootbox for m+ you can bet it will be there for pvp thats my hunch.
im not going to put any faith in to blizzard to just do vendors for pvp while pve is rng lootbox…nope.
Nah I really can’t find em fam
Current PVP gear system gives “options” but on a fixed linear schedule. If that is what they want to maintain then that is a big no go.
Yeah same here Ricros. Just want my vendors so I can run and play battlegrounds the entire expansion.
This is so true, I feel WoW PvP has been at its worst in this expansion. Getting rid of PvP vendors and the honor/conquest system was one of their biggest mistakes seeing many players that only did PvP actually quit the game. I know I almost did after Pandaria, the peak of WoW PvP.
So we may have a sliver of hope.
From an interview done by MMO Champion:

Devs do what they want to do for their own reasons. They don’t get all their feedback from 2 people on the forum who disagree with you.
This ^^^^^
It is hopefully still undecided, like alot of things involving gearing systems in Shadowlands. It’s easy to be cynical, i know, but instead try to give constructive feedback.
Though it doesn’t seem the bulk of the community really cares about this issue unfortunately.
Example: My latest post…
…which didn’t seem to get much attention, despite being probably the least garbage thing on this forum in terms of logical reasoning and writing structure. Real well-worded and actually constructive feedback, just ignored.
It’s just an unfortunate truth that the bulk of the playbase only cares about PvE and unimportant things like lore and cosmetics.
Additional note: It’s also an unfortunate truth that the game has almost always been mostly focused on PvE. In Vanilla (now Classic) if you didn’t Raid, you were crushed before you could ever touch a single piece of PvP gear. Then when you finally got the required Honor rank, the gear may have been garbage for your spec. Alot of BiS gear for PvP came from PvE.
A lot of the changes to the rewards systems seem undecided at this point, which is kind of understandable. We have more than a year until Shadowlands launches.
Yeah, this interview at least shed some light on why we heard nothing about PvP vendors at Blizzcon.
But it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll do it either.
