Pvp tuning dec 8th

The changes to DK are not justified beyond the Will of the Necropolis nerfs and the anti magic barrier one. Everything else to death strike and abom limb was completely unneeded and is going to make them very weak in regard to their defensives. This is just over the top is all. I’d really like to see a step back on perhaps the overall 50% nerf to Death Strike, the one to the talent could stay, but

  • Death Strike’s healing increased based on recent damage is reduced by 50% if the damage was dealt by players or their pets.

This one in particular, no. Then the abom limb one, as much as it is annoying as healer to be yanked around, every healer has so much instant cast healing nowadays, if you’re incapable of comprehending, when you see the DK press his big glowy button that makes them look like a monster, and you don’t immediately go to press a defensive, then you deserve to die. I’d say maybe TWICE to it’s duration, not the first initial one, then another, have it be three in total.

no they weren’t. On what planet is nerfing an ability by pretty much over 50 percent a good change in any capacity. Yes it was overturned, but now the ability will literally just be useless.

Warlocks have the most insane self healing. Lost a duel to one that drain life healed from 15% to full in seconds. I didn’t have my kick up either.

Dh unplayable now

A single deathstrike currently can heal for upwards of 30%+ of an hp bar in a single global, add into that how spammable it is now with DKs (mostly unholy I would assume) runic power generation and the only other way they could of adjusted it was to give it a cooldown.

A global that heals 10%-20% of your hp is still worth pressing, especially considering how low cost it is, It should slow down/mitigate burst not completely outheal it.

Button is going to be far from useless and DK is still going to be extremely playable.

Serious question but why are locks opd? Just started playing today

Drain life + soulrot affliction is very tanky and people can’t one shot them so they die. It’s strong but there’s much better classes right now, namely demon hunter.

They didn’t need triple dipping DS nerfs as well as 50% blanket nerfs to the rest of their defensive toolkit. If you think the new DK will be playable into double melee of WW/War/DH I have a bridge to sell you.

As opposed to it’s other intended use… Idk the wording here just set me off lmao. I haven’t leveled a caster yet dunno if this is needed.

The new DK will be playable and I would wager fury nerfs and possibly more DH nerfs are coming.

your currently high writing this post right?

First off, it is deff not spamable, i get only two strikes out with full power.
And its not that low cost tbh

here is the math on why it will be useless, your welcome

most classes have an MS + on top of damp it is not doing this unless u get chunked for 50+ of ur hp

You don’t need a math post to come to the conclusion it’s going to do half as much healing as it currently is.

Isn’t that kind of the situation where you would be dumping globals on death strike anyways(where you’re taking burst damage)? It was healing too much, with MS, they were bound to nerf the amount or give it a cooldown and a cooldown would probably feel terrible.

Showing math is casting pearls before swine here. They’re just going to ignore it.

it is really not healing that much into things that matter (cleaves)

all the other nerfs are warranted though

ok still lol. Its gutted. Ill wipe my cheeks with 12 percent. While dh, warlock, and fury healing is still insane rn.

Nobody is saying they aren’t, DH took a healing nerf in these same notes. I personally don’t think the DH one was enough and hope more comes. I have no doubt fury self healing is going to get nerfed thankfully and I pray warlocks receive more nerfs.

At least Blizzard admitted they have no idea what to do with Exsanguinate with thier little post nerf explanation.
